Dummy by Portishead
Apr 20 2026

The production on this album goes so hard for no reason. The vocals feel so out of place. All of these songs sound like they would be in a weird dystopian tv show or something. I don’t know what mood to be in to listen to this but I did enjoy the experience of the album.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Apr 24 2026

I once heard someone say that Bob Dylan is an excellent songwriter who should have stuck to that instead of singing his own music. I subscribe to that line of thinking. It was fun to hear some of the more bluesy music, but I still end up thinking that most bob dylan songs sound the same and are skips. Like a rolling stone slaps but I didn’t realize how long it goes on. I recognize the influence of the album and of bob dylan as a whole, but I won’t be revisiting this album besides “rolling stone”. 1/5

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Apr 26 2026

A classic classic rock album. I can’t say that every song deserved its own guitar solo though a handful did. I found a few songs that are getting added to the rotation, so color me impressed!

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Apr 27 2026

I listened to a few of these songs in the history of rock n roll (ski u mah). Not to my taste overall but it was fun to revisit, overall good music

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
May 02 2026

Did not expect no lyrics. I’m a mild enjoyer of jazz but got bored with a full album. Good quality music that is not entirely my cup of tea.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
May 16 2026

Some pretty good songs, some flops.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
May 22 2026
Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
May 24 2026

Matt: noise ordinance. Rose: I’m starting to question the quality of recommendations given by this list

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
May 26 2026

A confusing album - some incredible songs (Mrs Robinson, bookends, hazy shade of winter) and one terrible song (save the life of my child). Matt: goated but bloated

Parachutes by Coldplay
May 27 2026

Some monotony on the album (spies, high speed) but overall I love the guitar (sparks, we never change) and piano (trouble). I’m biased because I listen to a lot of songs off of this album

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
May 29 2026

Not my style but go off I guess

Revolver by Beatles
Jun 03 2026

Honestly thought I’d like it more than I did. Some good songs but they were a bit too inspired by the sitar for my taste (felt like I was about to hear the mii noises from that TikTok audio).

Jun 04 2026

Whiplash on this album! So many different song styles. I enjoyed some a lot and others less so. Queen is a great band with obvious skill, but I can’t rate it super high with the lack of cohesion

Jun 05 2026

This album should be against the Geneva convention. Why is he yelling

Is This It by The Strokes
Jun 07 2026

Matt: background music. Rose: some good songs, cohesive album but not everything is a banger.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jun 09 2026

“For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster”. Banger album

Jun 11 2026

I am generally an advocate of less screaming. Good music, I enjoyed most of the songs

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jun 14 2026

It’s Amy. What else is there to say? Some absolute bangers on this album, I love the retro tracks.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jun 16 2026

Matt: he’s mewing on the cover. Rose: I wish he would lighten up on the harmonica. Better than highway 61 though.

No Other by Gene Clark
Jun 25 2026

Really enjoyed it! Totally new album and artist

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Jun 26 2026

Lesbian country music. Go off queen. I really enjoyed the chill vibes, I could listen to this for hours

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jun 27 2026

Bad album to listen to while stressed lol, which probably colored my listening experience
