1001 Albums Summary

Banger album start to finish. I knew the hits (Midnite Cruiser, Dirty Work, Reelin In the Years) which are great but there are no misses on this thing.

I get it but I just found it quite boring. There are some catchy songs and the instrumental/synth work is excellent. Don't think I would return to this one.

This was good! Very chill and easy to listen to.

DNF. I hate this. They cant song and what are they saying.

This was great! Lou Reed has a lovely voice, the songs are very emotional and well-made. Guitar and bass work was excellent. Some slightly dated stuff about women in there but it is also tied up in his obviously very complicated relationship with his mother.

Very interesting. I have not listened to much grindcore but a lot of hardcore. I really appreciated the guitar work and the drums in particular. They are very raw and add a lot. The vocals are a lot but I get the energy behind them.

Surprisingly very good for someone who doesn't typically like folk. Drake has a unique voice that is quite beautiful. It took a little bit to get into the album but the second half in particular is fantastic (from Bryter Layter). Also all the instrumentation is excellent.

Very fun album. Strong political and social messaging mixed with fun songs and instrumentals. Some 80s cheese thrown in there.

High highs and boring lows. It really dragged towards the end after a great start. Running up that hill still awesome. Weird just but in the way I like.

No skips. Best of the early 00s alt rock. Obvs Mr Brightside but OnTop is a better pop song. Love it

People who said old U2 is good are liars. Bono is so fucking corny. Some of the guitar work is ok but the songs are so fucking boring.

Lyrically very cool, musically wasn't super my vibe. Very 80s weird rock.

I hated this, DNF after 5 songs. The music is boring as hell and they are the most basic stoner vibes imaginable.

Fantastically weird album. Really gets going at The Great Curve and doenst let up.

Absolutely fantastic album. Gaye has such an incredible voice, the tracks are so groovy with such beautiful instrumentation. Also very horny.

Did not like. Quintessential 60s bossa nova. Incredibly boring, exactly what you think it sounds like. LOWLIGHTS: Parada and Oba Oba.

Quirked up white boy music. Had heard the singles but not the full album, was very fun. Particularly liked the matinee song.

Weird 80s singer song writer album but it was actually really good! Strange singing but great instrumentals, lots of character.

Great album! Beautiful singing, fun songs and great bass. I think it being short did it well as there wasn't a ton of variety and it did not wear out its welcome.

I kind of hated this. 00s rock band aping 60/70s rock asthetics. I hate the inflection of the singing on this, he doesn't sound like that on other albums.

Bob Dylan is weird but good? Strange voice and I dont really get what he is going on about a lot of the time.

Absolute classic. Perfect album.
