Popular Reviews

This album gave me something I didn't know I was craving: an album where the narrator in nearly every song is an absolute shithead, in completely different ways. I didn't go into this expecting to hear a deadbeat dad ballad, but I was into it. favourite songs: The Fear, Help The Aged, This Is Hardcore

I don't truly have the authority to declare this but Oasis are honorary lesbians for this one. Favourite song: Don't Look Back In Anger

L.A. Woman by The Doors
May 17 2026

Crawling King Snake is THE song to do kegels to The keyboard on this album is straight fiyah Favourite song: Been Down So Long

May 18 2026

I expected it to be boring and too radio-friendly but it was moody and a couple of the songs crushed my heart, so good job lads favourite song: The Scientist

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads

May 21 2026

this album was so important to 15 year old me courtney I'm so sorry people tried to yoko you favourite song: reasons to be beautiful, use once and destroy

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
May 22 2026

seeing the drake feature on this felt like finding the itchy tasty journal entry in a survival horror game favourite song: good kid

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
May 23 2026

this album sounds like when you get a hot black milk tea with brown sugar on a day that starts rainy but then the sun comes out and all the plants look extra green and lush and life feels worth living favourite song: Para Machuchar Meu Coracao into Desafinado into Corcovado = heaven

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
May 24 2026

This probably fucked if you heard it live but this album was kinda boring :x Bloodsucker was good tho

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
May 25 2026

this is going on repeat all day baby

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
May 26 2026

a pretty good album that is about 10 songs too long. it's a shame what happened to that billy boy, too. fav songs: zero/here is no why/farewell and goodnight

Synchronicity by The Police
May 27 2026

They should blow up the dinosaur song on the radio instead of the lolita one I think I'm scared of Sting did he just say "there's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread"? Fav song: every breath you take!!!!!!! (king of pain is a close second)

Achtung Baby by U2
May 30 2026

From the first track I felt like this album would be better without vocals, but when i really paid attention to the instrumentals they sounded like customer service line hold music. it's just not my thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
May 31 2026

I'm surprised by how mad people get about slightly weird folk music. This is a solid album. fav songs: a sight to behold, this beard is for siobhan

Jun 01 2026

I didn't go into this expecting to hear a deadbeat dad ballad, but I was into it. favourite songs: The Fear, Help The Aged, This Is Hardcore

Be by Common
Jun 02 2026

The beats reminded me of earlier Kanye and lo and behold, he produced this album. I was really charmed by the synth in the intro, in isolation I think I'd have guessed it was from a steven universe song lol fav songs: Love Is..., Real People

Tical by Method Man
Jun 04 2026

This is a fun album, definitely one to come back to. It's moody with enough energy to keep me swaying in my seat. fav song: bring the pain

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jun 05 2026

I really can't bring myself to listen to this guy

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 06 2026

Green Onions is a great track. The rest are pleasant but nothing I'd get the itch to hear again. Worth a listen!

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Jun 07 2026

I didn't hate this album and I wouldn't be mad if someone put it on at a party, but it felt a bit overwrought, a little try-hard. The stock samples (eg the clapping), flowery lyrics that gesture at poetry while not really synthesizing into anything very interesting, the orchestral instrumentals layered with synth samples that were lovely on some tracks but cacophonous on others - I wanted it to work. But it didn't really come together the way I wished it did. bro he just pronounced tether as "teether" to rhyme it with ether, fuck off. songs where the instrumentals worked best: stork & owl, golden age

Eagles by Eagles
Jun 08 2026

Classic rock is hit or miss for me, and this album is no different. Witchy Woman and Take the Devil are standouts, the rest are a little generic. Chug All Night is one of the most off-putting euphemisms for sex I've ever heard. fav song: Witchy Woman

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Jun 09 2026

This is a very 90s record, for better or worse. The production is excellent, the flow is right, but I had to stop paying attention to the lyrics a few tracks in. Still, worth a listen.

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Jun 10 2026

Dreamy, pretty, but the unintelligible lyrics are a creative choice I can't fully get behind.

Medúlla by Björk
Jun 11 2026

Delightfully weird and beautiful. I would not willingly listen to beatboxing or wet mouth noises on a record from anyone else. fav song: oceania, mouth's cradle

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jun 12 2026

This is the type of album you hear when you go to a cafe with a DJ playing a set at 10am

I'm fond of this album and of PJ Harvey's music, but I wouldn't consider it a must-listen album. Hearing Thom Yorke on this was a nice surprise. Their voices mesh in a lovely way. fav song: one line

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand
Jun 14 2026

This album is all the way too long for how uninteresting every track is.

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Jun 15 2026

Sunday morning coffee music. Jojo reference.
