In Our Heads by Hot Chip

It was hard to rate this one. On the one hand it wasn’t my style of music typically but on the other hand there were some cool things about it. It a funky sort of jazzy and disco vibe. I liked how retro throwback it felt while still being young and fresh. There was also a good variety in the sound.

Doolittle by Pixies
Jun 05 2026

I had mixed feelings about this one and it was hard figuring out how to rate it. I admired their revolutionary and experimental style but I am not sure it worked for me. It was hard figuring out their point of view. Some of their songs had a very hard metal vibe, but then they would do something that felt 70’s rock. If I had to describe them I would call it Folk Rock Metal. It was an interesting concept but I am not sure it really came together.

You cannot really go wrong with Nirvana. I always love it when a band releases an acoustic album. I think that is where they really show their chops as a singer and musician. The album had a nice balance between some of the more popular songs and some lesser known songs.

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry
Jun 10 2026

I found it to be very repetitive so it kind of got boring after a while. There was not a lot of complexity lyrically or musically.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Jun 16 2026

Surprisingly very good. This one was quite unexpected and I really like it. It was edgier, darker and harder than I would have thought.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jun 17 2026

I was conflicted about this one. On the one hand it was repetitive which I usually don’t care for, but it did do some interesting things with sounds. I wished it had more substance but it kind of worked and all in all wasn’t bad to listen to.

I loved this album. It was funky, fun and unique. There were some great interesting sounds. So different. I really enjoyed listening to it.

Penthouse And Pavement by Heaven 17
Jul 02 2026

This one was interesting. It started with this disco funk but as it continued the music became more experimental with electronica vibes. The songs were an interesting mix. Some of the songs had a sort of rebellious vibe while others came across as superficial club/dance songs.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jul 06 2026

You cannot really go wrong with The Rolling Stones but this album was killer. Loved how the social commentary of some of their songs is still so relevant.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Jul 10 2026
Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jul 13 2026

I never considered myself a big Led Zeppelin fan. They have a few songs I listen to and like but I never really followed them. I have to say this was a really good album. Not as predictable as I thought it would be.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jul 15 2026

It’s hard to go wrong with the Doors and this was a great album. Loved the Bluesy vibe.

I was kind of on a rollercoaster with how I wanted to rate this one. The start of the album I felt was pretty mediocre and not Limp Bizkit’s best work. But considering the mood I was in when I stated listening it was working for me. Then one of my favorite songs of theirs played and after that the rest of the album started getting better. Now I like Limp Bizkit don’t get me wrong but I also honestly have to say I never considered them to be brilliant or the best music ever but when the son Hold On started I was blown away. That was an amazing song by any standard.

Dirt by Alice In Chains

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Aug 03 2026

Fun and Funky and really different. I quite enjoyed this one. I know it came out in the 60’s but it had such a 70’s vibe. It was like an early precursor to 70’s music.

Tommy by The Who
Aug 04 2026

I am actually a fan of The Who and I think they have some really good stuff but this album just did not work for me. I don’t think is showcased The Who very well.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Aug 06 2026

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one. I have to say it was interesting. I liked the originality. There was some good instrumental. I really enjoyed the guitar and drum work. Some aspects of the album were a little annoying. Some of the sounds were kind of grating on the nerves. But mostly it was fun to listen to.
