Super funky I loved it. Homeboy was using every percussion instrument at his disposal in some songs and it worked. Add in that funky guitar and sax and I'm a happy camper.
Have only ever listened to the song 'Take Me Out' before (which is still amazing btw). The album was solid, made me want to be an alt kid in London, skateboarding and shit.
Good Times Roll, Just What I Needed, and Bye Bye Love are songs I've loved for a long time (thank you dad for the Classic Rock education). I was actually so hype to see this album as the next pick. The songs on this stay *chefs kiss* so good, and unironically are the perfect driving songs ( I expect nothing less from a band called The Cars).
Conflicted because I loved the instrumentals on this album, but lyrically this fell flat. Pretty mid-album, which is pretty surprising because I typically love Rock.

Listen this album would slap on a beach, but in the Suburbs in VA while working? Not as much. Don't get me wrong it's not bad at all, a vibe to be sure. Just not my preferred genre for everyday.

The way Cult of Personality just transported me to playing guitar hero legends of rock in the early 2000's is crazy.
Another case of I love the instrumental stuff, but hate their singing (or sing-talking in this case).
Vibing with the general sound, although most songs after the first one mush into one for me. Side note: I stared at this cover way too long and the explosion started to look more and more like a chicken nugget the longer I looked...just thought y'all just should know
Black Hole Sun and Spoonman stay my favorites on this album, but not a bad one at all!
Had one to two songs that I felt weren't too bad, but overall this album just wasn't my vibe. Grunge is very hit or miss for me.
Really liked this album more than anticipated. Maybe it's because we've been on a Rock kick lately but was nice to see something a bit different. Decided to listen to this on my nicer headphones and it was totally worth it to hear more of the gorgeous guitar and strings in the background. This on a rainy day with some coffee in hand would slap.
Another edition of this album contains a Guitar Hero song that I was obsessed with. Black Magic Woman was my best song on expert mode. Cover art for this album is so cool. Also the fusion of Latin and Rock music just works.
It's a bit mid, innit bruv?
In a way Johnny's voice isn't fantastic in and of itself but is very comforting to listen to. Feels like a grandfather sharing a story or something. Can't say this is one I would listen to on repeat, but It wasn't too bad and I enjoyed the selection of covers as well.
Always hear people shitting on U2 but I actually quite like their music. Refugees is the one song on this album that my dad played the most, and thus is my favorite of the pack.
Felt like an avengers movie in that if you waited till after the credits of the last song (aka the minutes of silence) there was a little melody in the end.
My dad was going to be VERY disappointed if I didn't give this one a 5 stars. That being said I would have done it anyways, I really like how the album feels cohesive while also having songs that sound unique from one another. Also after a string of 3 star rock albums for me this one definitely stood apart from the pack.
WOAH IT'S NOT A ROCK ALBUM GUYS (I jest I do like rock albums, we've just had a back to back string of them). Like all calm sounding Jazz, it reminds me of the Charlie Brown Albums. My one wish is that it was raining outside when I was listening to this album. Oh and now for my obligatory movie quote that I must add " Ya Like Jazz?"
I like their song 'West End Girls'. Unfortunately that song was not on this album. Don't get my wrong I dig a good 80's vibe, I just thought as a whole the album wasn't super great.
A perfect album, no notes. Every song is certified fresh.
This one came out of nowhere. I really loved how atmospheric it was. Gave me a bit of Enya mixed with Imogen Heaps vibes. Really enjoyed. Was enhanced by how gloomy it's been outside lately
