1001 Albums Summary

Loved the album. Otis Redding has always been a favorite of mine but for one reason or another this album got pushed to the side. Glad I finally finished it

It really interprets the era of rock and roll quite well. While not as high energy as other bands it really shows how the influence of drugs shaped the era.

Really impressive album never knew what this group had to offer but I’m glad I listened

Classic funk album that everyone should listen to

I listened to it a few times and unfortunately I feel like I was missing something. It never really clicked for me.

It completely encompasses what it was like to be a rock band of the time. There’s an element of lawlessness that completely comes through in the album.

I understand why it’s influential and good but at this point in my life it just sounds like the nonsense I’d hear from a motorcycle bar or mechanic shop

Another classic in its own space. Never had the pleasure of listening to it on my own.”Groovin” has definitely been a few movies I’ve watched before.

Classic album by Marvin Gaye. It’s almost like his diary where he express his view of the world
