1001 Albums Summary

2.5-3. Can see why people like this album but not my thing

Jazz is sooo fun

3.5 stars :)

Points for dancing queen... hate to admit that I very much did not enjoy the rest of this album. very repetitive and grating for me. I know people love Abba and this album (great cool good) and I dont understand why.

3.5, need to come back and relisten to this one again. Enjoyed it but think it deserves more runtime before I make a decision :)

3.5, I like the Arctic Monkeys in general (maybe for nostalgia) but this was not my favorite! A little repetitive sometimes but a fun album to listen to on the way to work.

This was actually way more fun than I was expecting

Can't believe I've never heard of this band! Really fun and enjoyed it

I love love love this era of music. Felt like the inspiration for a lot of newer albums I enjoy. Hadn't heard this full album before but it's delightful.

I kept forgetting what I was listening to and thinking "Jack Johnson?"... wonderful album. Surprised I hadn't heard it before!

Nothing glaringly wrong with this, but not my fav kind of music. Listened to this twice over two weeks before leaving a rating because it was so meh that I couldn't remember it enough to rate it.

Cool? Fine? I don't have much to say. Not egregious!

Fun and inoffensive and made for a great soundtrack to cook Sunday dinner with.

Not my fav fleetwood album but a damn good one

I like Genesis, but sometimes it's repetitive :/

Wonderful album, one of the first I've seen pop up on this generator that I was truly old enough to appreciate as it was released. Spent a lot of time with it in highschool, so I'm certainly biased.

This really might be a 4.5 for me but it needs time to cook in my brain. Outside of mainstream Prince hits, I've had zero listening time with him before. Opened this album today in a foul mood and came out delighted, so that says something!

3.5 stars because i love this era of music but got real tired of it realll quick

I don't speak the language nor am I familiar with qawwali music but I had fun!

Read the band's Wikipedia before listening, thought "oh how cool!" Knew it wouldn't be the kind of music I'd listen to on my own, but how bad can it be? BAD

Incredibly biased. I grew up with this album. Its survived nearly 2 decades and I haven't gotten sick of it!

Love The Smiths, but never heard this album. Kinda boring, but Unhappy Birthday had me cracking up in a way I'm not sure was good or bad, though

Was not a fan at all. I like the idea and wish I had liked the music better!

Incredible

First 5/5 album of this challenge thus far for me. I am SO(!!!!) BIASED. I grew up listening to this album. My parents told me this was the album they played on repeat while I was still in utero. I think it's worked its way into my brain permanently. Generally, I don't regularly listen to metal/heavy rock music (although I can enjoy it when I'm in the mood). Half of this album consists of this album consists of songs I wouldn't reach for on the average day, but when I do listen through I always enjoy the experience. And then, of course, there's the other side of this album, consisting of songs I love and listen to very often. I couldn't write this review without mentioning my two showstopper favorites, Cupid De Locke and 1979. Those opening instrumentals are truly beautiful. It's like a breath of fresh air every single time.
