1001 Albums Summary

My favorite Aretha album. Don't know exactly why because it's not the one with the most hits. I just find it perfect and beautiful.

Probably my favorite Springsteen album, though the title song is overplayed and it's maybe a little less subtle than the other. It's filled with classics and not too long.

A nice funk album. Not the greatest but a really cool listen indeed. I forgot I had already listened to it.

Un de mes Stevie préférés, en tout cas le premier auquel j'ai vraiment adoré. Toujours chouette, même si les autres ont fini par grow on me et que j'apprécie leurs côtés plus funk au final.

A lot of good hits, obviously, but maybe an album not much thought as one, with a pretty artificial flow. Fernando remains a masterpiece.

Kind of a revelation to me. I've listened to it many times but never loved it that much and discovered some of it's most beautiful melodic passages.

Pretty repetitive, unoriginal and annoying. Too bad, I like the Jam, but Weller alone makes a pretty boring and pretentious art rock.

Still revolutionary. Still an album that doesn't move me much. Important, but pretty boring by today standards.

I wouldn't say "one of my favorite Pixies albums" because Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are even better and the other albums I just don’t like much. Let’s just say it’s great, almost perfect, filled with not enough known micro classics, and underrated.
