1001 Albums Summary

I enjoyed it but nothing really tickled my brain except snippets of some of the songs, i think it’s not my genre but was glad to listen

i liked it more than the first one and found a song that tickled my brain that i’d love to hear a house edit of

i did not enjoy the screaming in general and was surprised at the “rape me” track although audio wise i enjoyed it. Also relatively liked All Apologies and Pennyroyal tea. I wouldn’t mind hearing it in a bar but I wouldn’t seek out listening to it at home again for my own enjoyment. Maybe sometime I would listen to it with full attention for the sake of appreciating it as a piece of art and expression but not for fun and entertainment

Liked it more than all the others so far, two of the songs I would listen to again and some others have sounds/beats that I’d like to hear again maybe as part of something else. Love the cover art too and the title

i thought it was quite sweet, soothing and charming and i enjoyed the silliness. good for zoning out and painting

could not get through it also did not find it cohesive

3.5 rather, there’s some songs i quite liked but still overall can’t say it’s a 4

I feel like I can’t in good faith rate this because it doesn’t seem to be made to be an entertainment listening experience as much as a didactic instrument. It was interesting but I don’t know this type of music enough to rate it. I can’t say I particularly enjoyed it or would want to hear it again. It also kind of gave me anxiety, and my cats became agitated - can’t tell if they like it or also got anxious. 2.5?

My main take away from this project so far is that I don’t really like rock, but I can at least say this one didn’t sound like all the other rock albums I heard from the list so far

Actually 3.5, more interesting than the other rock albums i got so far especially towards the end of the album. Would almost listen to again

omg i loved this, felt like i was on holiday and in love, and it made me want to dance

Was so surprised to like this, I can’t say I would listen to it a lot or again almost at all but it was so diverse and interesting sound wise - or maybe i just haven’t heard much hip hop before

listenable but samey and i got bored/annoyed before the end of the album
