So by Peter Gabriel

I have never been a fan of traditional jazz music, but this album may have opened me up to it. It's a fusion of many styles, with african beat and latin rhythms. These work together in tandem to create an enjoyable listen. Whilst not as groundbreaking as later records within the genre, it's still an important blend of musical styles.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Oct 03 2026

Energetic, heavy, powerful with the perfect mixture of sentiment. Perhaps the greatest debut album of all-time? Very few debut albums stand up against a band’s more refined work, but Led Zeppelin is almost their pinnacle. From the bombastic opening, to the spine tingling middle, it has the essential Zeppelin element: epic scale. Everything feels big, something that would define their later albums. Robert Plant’s vocals are haunting in scope, and Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones work in a unique symbiosis. But the heartbeat of this album is John Bonham, whose drum work holds together every composition which unchained passion. A fantastic album, which reads like a greatest hits track.
