Unfamiliar with this album but loved it. Killer queen was great on first listen but I've heard that song before. Lots of piano. Vocals, even beyond FM sound so characteristic. How did they get that effect?
Lots of variety on this. Fretless bass, moog and sampling (1975!), jazz. Not my jam. She's an icon and has such a characteristic voice, but I think some of the things that make her great are things that I just don't often connect with in music like the lyrics. Maybe if I sat down with a lyric sheet and listened to it, but maybe just not my jam.
First listen for me. Missed it when it came out and I don't listen to much hip hop.
Didn't know the album, but instantly recognize the cover art. Iconic. I know New Order much better, more my era. First listen was meh. But I gave it a couple more listens, especially the bass. So great basslines, but different than other basslines, moody vocals. Dunno, it's a real sound. Totally grew on me.
