Bert Jansch
Bert JanschThis was great. Love a guitar picker. I've never heard of Bert Jansch but I'm a fan now. This is how I hear myself when I pick up a guitar, just before I touch the strings...

I really liked this for some reason. I thought it was hauntingly mellow for the most part. Another one where it's on track 4 for the second time before I realise it's looped already and I'm listening to the same thing I've already heard. Yeah, really flows well this one.
Liam's voice was something else. This is an absolute classic now. We knew it was great at the time right enough. Britpop FTW! ;oP
I enjoyed that. Again, would have been a great hippie me.
It's Motörhead, so you never know quite what you're going to get. ...said nobody. This is a classic though!
This has a bit of a Zappa vibe about it. This is a pretty smooth album, great one to play while working. JC Hates Faggots maybe nsfw, lol.
all killer
A real blast from the past. Instantly transported to the summer of 1994 as a 15 year old hanging out with my mates, not a worry in the world and no idea what the future would hold. No need, it's so far away right‽
floaty, ethereal. there were saws and possibly theramins at parts. really interesting album and I enjoyed it a lot.
I mean, you already know what this album sounds like. Cypress Hill
Immediate hit of toy story vibe of course. Lonely at the top, Sounds like old black Louisiana blues/jazz performer, playing in his dungarees on a deck outside a shop on a box. Absolutely stunning. Album definitely has 'musicals' influence. Some tracks feel very broadway
Every track sounds like it could have been in a Sony Bravio advert. Not familiar with the band, they remind me a bit of The Pretty Reckless.
what a treat.
Enjoyed that, blast from the very past.
one of the songs said Gene Simmons
essential listening.
I never got what the fuss was with Tom Waits, now I do. That was great, can see how he's so influential.
Happy vibes. I'd have been a great hippie.
Made me feel like I was in a Mr Robot montage where I was probably hacking something in a garage while someone else was spray painting in a dark alley. Definitely got Tetris 64 vibes from a lot of the tracks. Not really my bag this, but not awful!
Great, too short really. Blindsided by the last track!
Pleasantly surprised. Before listening to this I'd have said under 40 minutes is plenty of Rod Stewart at once. I always wondered what the fuss was with him but actually his voice sounded great on this album.

Yeah great, this version of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face is an excellent effort.
I actually liked this more than I expected to. A lot of NSFW content but I never got the appeal of Ian Dury growing up. This is far more melodic than I expected.
Loved this.

another classic. Man in the mirror is a great song.
Pretty decent. Could hear this being played on a loop at like an outdoor pizza / pop-up bars food quadrant during the Edinburgh festival or something.

I've not been a huge fan of Jerry Lee Lewis but listening to this you can really feel that old rock & roll thing. These bands were game changers, must have been a great time to be a teen.
Nice enough, couple of pretty good covers in there. Probably wouldn't look it out.
Always thought George Jones was a bit overrated and this didn't change my mind I'm afraid. Really short album though at just 28 minutes for 11 songs.
Yeah that was actually very good. I was going to listen to a track or two then move on but actually played the whole album. Sounds like they were great live.
