Time Out
The Dave Brubeck QuartetI don’t have anything smart to say, for whatever reason I had never really listening to Dave Brubeck before this and I definitely need to spend more time checking his music out cuz this was great.

Oh man, funk and groove galore, I loved this album.
A classic, defining album in hip hop history. One of the first mainstream albums that lead us to hip hop as we know it today. Wonderful MCs with masterful production from two of the best to ever do it.
What’s not to like. Looped samples, ensemble of MCs, punchy drums, and tasteful flourishes from the DJs. I mean, how many hip hop songs have a god damn flute?!
Michael Jackson’s best album, the funk, the groove, is truly incredible. Set the tone for music going forward.
Wasn’t super into it at first, but really liked it by the end.
A great expression of free jazz, the emotion and passion that Mingus gets into his albums is almost unrivaled to me.

A pretty cool fusion album, some weird parts but overall really enjoyed it.
Brand new to this music and I absolutely love this album, might turn into a baroque pop nerd thanks to this album.
Punk music done right, I wanna be in a grimy venue drinking a PBR tower.
It’s good for what it it, just not my cup of tea.
I don’t have a ton to say about this one, probably should have paid closer attention to it, but a good listen, wouldn’t mind coming back to it.
This has some damn good funk and groove to it. The kind of music you can just chill to and have a damn good time.
Came in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. His band sounded really good and his vocals matched the tone of the songs quite well.
Fine for what it is, got bored, everything kinda sounded the same
Wowza what an album, never really listened to the Beatles before this and holy cats am I dumb

Not really my thing but it was good.
Quality 90s hip hop, smooth beats, nice flows, not a classic in my mind, probably not their best album even, but still a good listen.
I don’t have a lot to say about this, don’t know enough about the genre or The Pixies but this album is great.
Nice album, cool beats and baselines, beautiful singing.
Not my kind of music.
It’s fine, not a lot to say
A classic album by one of the greats, I’ve never taken the time to really dig into Coltrane’s work but his talent and accomplishments are undeniable.

Oof.
It was fine, I’m guessing/hoping there are better Beck albums
Pretty cool, worth another closer listen
I really enjoyed this album, but I have really mixed feelings about this genre. I don’t like the vocal style, it’s just weird to me. On the other hand, the layers to the music is incredible, for being “pop” music there are a good amount of complex rhythms, instrumentation, and chords.
This album is great, all around fantastic.
This was pretty sweet, another legend I’ve never really listened to and definitely should have before now.
Just a jam album, not fantastic but not bad, probably shouldn’t be sober to fully enjoy this album.
What’s not to like, just some easy listening that sounds great.
Oh man, funk and groove galore, I loved this album.
Pretty solid, not a lot to say about it.
This album was super mainstream but I low key love it, maybe one song I’d skip on the whole thing.

I didn’t really like this album, can’t really pinpoint why.
Way ahead of its time, fantastic album.
I liked the music a lot, did not like his voice.
Don’t have much to say again but I liked this album a lot, a lot better than the first beck album we had.
Not a fan.
I understand the appeal but I really didn’t enjoy this
I dug this album. Nice short songs, kinda punk/indie/emo ish.
Holy cats, so many singles. I didn’t expect to like this album as much as I did. I’m still surprised at how thoughtful the music itself was of pop music from this era, far more interesting than contemporary pop music.
Oh man I loved this album, such beautiful chords and harmonies.
My favorite Scott Walker album, love every song on this album. The flamenco-esque influences on some songs are dope, nice and upbeat, just fantastic.
So many of these songs sounded so similar, got bored, not a fan
