1001 Albums Summary

Tunes were good. Vocals were meh.

Weren’t we already forced to listen to this? Their shtick works in just the last song. The best that can be said of the rest of the songs is that they’re short.

Do people think it’s better if the artist is singing in French? Not a fan. Sounds like a forgotten album from the 80s that should have stayed forgotten.

This is probably a two actually but I’m honestly tired of ppl making me listen to garbage. I can’t imagine being able to pick any album in the world to share with my fellow humans and picking this bland nothingness. I kept forgetting there was even music playing. This may be the most boring album ever.

Because what this needed was a 300th album by some dude who talk-sings.

Two and a half? It’s not really offensive. But I don’t much care for it.

It’s fine, but the postal service did this better.

This is very soft and therefore not really my jam. That said, it would be lovely to fall asleep to.

That drummer must be exhausted. And very fit.

I once had a mom friend who asked if I wanted to go see the mountain goats and I thought she was asking if I wanted to take the kids to some kind of petting zoo and she thought that was just hilarious and we’re not friends anymore bc it turns out she’s terrible and I’m 99% sure she has borderline personality disorder. But having listened to them it turns out the Mountain Goats are pretty good.

I wondered the other day whether there would be people who listened to all the albums just so they could add their own band’s album and then someone other than their mom would listen to it. So I feel like that question has been answered for me now.

Thought this might be a four when it started. Really liked it. Then it got meh.

This is prob actually a three but it’s really gloomy out and I’m finding this incredibly boring. Even the song I’d heard before I was like yeah so didn’t need that.

Pretty

I liked this much more than expected and, oddly, my fav song was the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen one. 🤷‍♀️

Hell is filled with jam band music.

This is a beautiful album. Couldn’t have picked a more perfect gloomy day to listen to it too.

I think this exercise has ruined British male singer songwriters for me. Or did I never like them. Anyway I can’t imagine being able to pick any album I want and picking one that sounds like a third of what we already listened to with nothing to distinguish it.

This is fine but I like that first album better. Jack Johnson is best when paired with a perfectly sunny day and some day drinking and I had only one of those.

Enema of the State is a great album. This one is just ok.

They’re really into their name apparently. They say it in every damn song.
