This was fun. Although, not speaking French probably hindered further enjoyment. The songs blended together and the music fell in the background while listening. The album felt very long.
But thank you for submitting this! I'm not sure I've heard French punk before. This is what the list should be about!

French punk. Definitely something I would have liked to have seen more of in the OG list. Not the French punk part but the music from around the world.
This was catchy and I sort of know what they are saying given my French language learning (it's been a long time). The short songs really push it along. Still, like all punk albums, you get the gist quickly and sustaining it for over an hour is tough.
My personal rating: 3/5
My rating relative to the list: 4/5
Should this have been included on the original list? Yes.

This is gonna be a live album, isn't it. At least I've never heard of the band. Euro-rock I've never heard sometimes comes up cool.
Ok it's a bit of simple 80s punk. Total Ramones/Misfits worship, with a slightly more polished edge. I struggled with the overall length (I stopped listening sometime through disc 2), and sadly I don't understand enough French in real-time to get the words; who knows what poetic genius I missed out with "Arrete de parler" and "Mayonnaise a gogo".
Digs at dumb punk aside, this was a good bit of fun. An hour 10 is a big ask for this kind of music, but turning it off at about 40min was a good move - I'll still give it a 4/5.

French is already a fast language. But this punk-rythm makes it even faster.
But I really liked it

Not gonna lie, this was fucking awesome. I was very skeptical going into this, since a French live punk album that's 70 minutes long is a totally demonic concoction, but it somehow didn't get old.
It's just really solid punk rock. A lot of fun despite the fact that I have no idea what's being said. Sounds a bit like Misfits or Bad Religion.

Tres bien. Je connais seulement Plastec Bertrand en la scene de punk francaise, et Les Sherrif sont plus forte.

This was a fun listen, if overly long for what is supposed to be a punk album.
The sound is interesting, fusing the attitude and melodicism of pop punk with a level of guitar technique that would not be entirely out of place in 80s metal. The pace is crisp and energetic, and the band mixes it up enough that you never really get bored with it. They did lose me a bit somewhere in the middle of the second disc, because it's just a lot to listen to. My limited proficiency in French prevented me from fully engaging with the album, but I really liked it. Thanks for sharing it.
Fave Songs: Jusqu'au bout, Je veux savoir pourquoi, Pas de doutes, Ca fait mal, Tout le temps pareil

Never thought the French could rock out like this. Definitely a lengthy listen that could stand a bit of trimming, but the duration is a testament to the band’s sheer energy – insane that they sustained this kind of energy for well over an hour and never let up. This was a great way to start my morning and was a solid listen all the way through, cool add!

The language problem as usual. Punk comes off a little strange in French, though it's not a bad fit. I didn't need an hour and ten minutes of this.

I don't believe I've ever heard French punk rock before. It was pretty solid, although a lot of the songs kind of sounded the same. 3 stars.

Great example of French punk, my only gripe is it’s a bit long, I lost interest by the end.

This sounded better than a lot of live albums… so that was a plus… the songs seemed were decent. The musicians seem talented. It all sounded pretty good. It did go on way too long though… even the best punk rock I can’t do for too long and this was at least twice as much as I would ever want in one serving. Still I kind of liked hearing some French punk.

Their best hits seemed irrelevant to me, the punk style is a bit close to ska, especially because of the fast pace. I think they are good musicians but the vocalist and the songs seem to me to be not up to par.

I like to have more non-english albums on the user list, but I was not wanting for another punk rock, double and live album. I think the best tracks of this album could be a great 45 minute album with a lot of catchy, melodic punk pop/rock and energy, but in this form it is just too long and with too many mediocre songs.

Ha ha ha ha! Didn't expect that one to come up! For anyone with a flimsy grasp of the French language, know that the second track of this live album, "Tout le temps pareil", translates as.... "Always The Same". And you couldn't find a better way to sum up the record (and Les Sheriff's strand of punk rock in general). Maybe it's a self-referential wink, in a way. But I wouldn't be surprised if such wink went high over the heads of the band's core audience at the time.
Les Sheriff were iconic for a couple of slightly older kids I hung out with as a teenager, back in the early nineties. In that overall French punk genre displaying strong working-class values, Bérurier Noir and Ludwig Von 88 were even more iconic, admittedly -- because they had released truly memorable anthems with a political edge. Les Sheriff never pulled that off outside of their dedicated fanbase, though. And it seems to me that they were never that political. Their shtick was more "beer and drunken fighting" fare and fanfare. And for anyone intrigued enough by the lyrics, just know that the latter already sounded a little dumb and mind-numbing for me at the time -- and that, in retrospect, they sound even *more* awkward, simplistic and pointless to me now. Not to mention the fact that the singer's quite heavy-handed delivery quickly gets on my nerves as well....
As for the music... Yeah, "Tout le temps pareil". That drummer is a powerhouse, and the band's live act certainly had a rowdy reputation among the fans. But the whole thing is so damn linear, c'mon -- there are so many ways good working-class-minded punk rock can avoid that sort of bland proposal devoid of real musical stakes. The kind of simplicity displayed here rarely justifies a 70-minute record.
Gonna end my rant in French. There are a couple of things I want to add, but I'm pretty sure no one outside of France or Québec will care enough about it anyway...
1.5/5 for the purposes of this list of essential albums, rounded up to 2
6.5/10 for more general purposes (5 + 1 for the artistry + 0.5 for the band's dedication and endurance, I guess).
Number of albums from the original list I find relevant enough to be mandatory listens: 465
Albums from the original list I *might* include in mine later on: 288
Albums from the original list I won't include in mine: 336

Number of albums from the users list I find relevant enough to be mandatory listens: 5

If there is one language that makes sense for punk music it’s definitely the one that historically has protested and burned so much of their own country. I’m not sure what has these guys all riled up as I don’t speak French but the instrumentals were pretty solid for the most part. But for me I like knowing what the songs are about. 3.3/10

Les Sheriffs is a very important punk band from France. I didn't know they were from Montpellier, awesome city. I have a policy of giving 1 star to live albums or greatest hits albums, as it is not fair to compare them to studio albums. I wish you had chosen a studio album.
