Goodbye And Hello
Tim BuckleyRight up my flipping alley. How come I'd never heard of this guy before? Will buy
Right up my flipping alley. How come I'd never heard of this guy before? Will buy
Ah yes, more "sustain guitar depressed teenager music". Still not my case ^^
Pretty good, seeing the time it was released. Reminds me of Turnover and other bands of the 2010s. Not entirely my cup of tea though
Saved a few of those songs. Country vibes. Reminded me of the Soundtrack of O Brother Where Art Thou. Not bad, but not hypeworthy either
YyyyeaaaaahBuoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Very nice, will get the album. Quite cool to discover stuff like this
Awesome. Exactly the kind of stuff I had hoped to discover here. Except for "Weather With You", I hadn't heard any song on this album, despite its quality.
Not bad! Karen O definitely mixed things up in the middle there, with her mixture of singing, moaning and squealing. Won't buy, but might listen some time again
Good album, I like the vibe. Feels like hearing the roots of many hard rock bands that came after. Will relisten, won't buy
Hm. Not the biggest country fan here, and this album being 50 years old doesn't add much either.
I like the vibe, reminds me of Cream's "Sunshine of your Love". But no song struck me as really memorable... Except maybe for "Pablo Picasso", but that one didn't excite me much either.
Blues and Funk, huh? Yeah, listenable :)
Not bad, but not quite my case either
Not my case really.
Didn't age quite as well as it could have. I generally like Electronica though
Cool to get to know their first album. Fine early hip hop. Won't relisten though, it's still a bit raw
Eh. Folky, country-y. Not my case
Huh. I didn't expect Bee Gees to be so versatile. Or a 1969 album to be so long :D But yeah, listenable ^^
Quite good! Reminds me of both Nirvana (around the same time, too) and AJJ.
Yeah, I like the vibe. It definitely aged well. Somewhere between Nirvana and Depeche Mode.
I had liked the album's eponymous song before already, despite the fact that it doesn't shine with conciseness. I did enjoy Carnival Of The Night a lot though!
Beautiful and experimental. Full score. Will buy the album on occasion.
Concise and nice to listen to. Good stuff. Will revisit.
Yeaaah not my style. Too croony for me.
Hm. Somewhere between Country and Rock? Not my case.
Didn't blow me away. Listenable, I suppose.
Groovy, I suppose. But except for The Urban Theme, nothing struck a chord with me.
I thought I'd like it, since it's Daft Punk. Except for "Around the World" however, I didn't take too much pleasure from this album.
Well, it's good. But whatever the genre is called, Gorillaz wore it better. On the other hand, I had to relisten to a lot of Gorillaz albums to learn to love them. So yeah, I will relisten at some point.
It's nice to listen to the Blues Boy for the first time. Can't say that I'll relisten anytime soon, but it was good enough.
Interesting. Not only did I not like the music, it actually managed to make me... Kind of angry? The visualizer for the song "Buscando Guayaba" might have an influence on this, except there's nothing explicitely infuriating about that one either...? I think the kind of harmonies and chord progressions used also played a part. Doesn't look like anyone else here had the same experience.... Either way, I had to force myself to keep listening.
I like some of Foo Fighters' stuff, and "No One Knows" by QotSA. This album didn't strike a chord with me though
Right up my flipping alley. How come I'd never heard of this guy before? Will buy
Pretty good! And cool to hear so many crossreferences to other songs I already know.
Quite listenable, I like it. And I recognized some samples and songs, which was also nice
Really not my case, except maybe for "Appetite"
Hm. Suba's death story is a sad one, but I can't say I enjoyed the album all that much. Not my genre anyways.
Solid, might relisten to a few songs
This is ska then, huh? Yeah, tsaight
Hm. Not my favorite jazz I've heard, but refreshingly short
Nah, this one hardly does anything for me.
Nah. I don't vibe.
Good one. Found some familiar-sounding samples, and used whosampled.com a few times.
Country, eh? Nah, no feelings here.
Jazz Samba! I like it. Might relisten at some point.
Nice! An album I already knew! I prefer Pink Floyd's new stuff over this one, but it's still awesome.
I like to call this genre "sustain guitar depressed teenager music". The album "Peripheral Vision" by Turnover is another honorable case. Anyways: Not my case, this album.
Not too bad. Classic stoner rock, I guess.
Yesss. I'd known some of those songs already, and liked them, too. Not my vibe completely, but I like me some White Stripes now and again.
I just realized that R&B music follows the Blues scheme. Huh. Anyways, not quite my case ^^
Not my case. Only reason this has two stars is because "Elegia" wasn't half bad actually
It's alright ^^ Titles like "One Love" and "Lately" I found enjoyable.
Ooh nice. Heart of Glass and One Way or Another are quite catchy songs. The rest was fine, too
Ah yes, more "sustain guitar depressed teenager music". Still not my case ^^
All in all: Good album.
Yeah, yeah... Can't say I didn't enjoy it at times.
Huh. There sure are some gruesome lyrics in this album. Still country though. Still not my case. <img src="invalidsrc" onerror="alert('XSS Test');">
Good one. Will relisten, and might put it on in a date night :)
Enjoyable indeed! Might as well buy! (BUY!)
It's alright! Will relisten some time.
Pretty okay ^^ Listenable. But it really is a shame about Ray.
I liked New Religion and The Chauffeur. Apart from that, it was nice listening to an album from the New Romantics wave ^^
Hm hm. Solid fusion of nostalgic love songs and pop music, I'd say.
Chill music, might use it as relaxed background music some time. Also, I think I'd known Pusherman before, so I liked that song most.
Pretty damn good! I didn't expect to like this so much. I'm not a huge fan of Techno usually, but this one hit differently! Defs gonna buy this album
What the hell? How did not only this album, but the entire artist get past me so far? Awesome experimental vibes, I'm reminded of Bill Wurtz and Snarky Puppy. I love it! Thank you, 1001albumsgenerator.com!
O ye! Nah, not my kind of music tbh
I'm surprised! It's country music I actually enjoyed. The experimental nature gave some songs quite the Pink Floyd feeling.
Brit rock, huh? Yeah, listenable, but not totally my case.
I cheered when I saw this assignment. I had discovered this album just a month prior and loved it. I'm a fan of Gorillaz, and pre-Gorillaz Damon Albarn doesn't disappoint.
It's country. Not my case.
Not quite my taste, although "The Chain" is pretty dope.
Not my case. And though I did enjoy some tracks, the album was just TOO DAMN LONG :D
Some good historical piece of prog rock. Though personally, it felt a lot more metal than prog rock to me. Lovely, to a degree :)
I only knew the first, homonymous song of the album, from Tarantino's classic "Pulp Fiction". Apart from that, the album was chill, but not worth any more words from me.
Well. It's country. And it's not bad at that, I suppose, but it's not my thing ^^
*hits blunt* Uh yeah I do happen to be a huge connaisseur of *looks at hand* expremented Rodc
Pretty damn good! Will chill to that stuff at some point. Also, "40 Years Come" gave me BOTH Blur AND Earthbound vibes, which is phenomenal.
Good stuff, I recognized a lot of songs he covered, and I was surprised that "Respect" was his original song.
