Groundbreaking and moody but not my cup of tea. Couple bangers.
Witty social commentary over a unique and unpredictable sound. Each song has an uplifting sound, but still one of a kind with the degree of experimentation. Even the melancholic songs like Some Mother’s Son have fun instrumentation. Good album overall.
Awful. Songs aged poorly and made me feel uncomfortable. Would rate 0/5 if I could.
Fun classics. The best era of Christmas music
Overall kind of boring, maybe I wasn’t in the right mood
Iconic album with back to back hits. Not a bad song on the album
Classic swamp rock. Grab a drink, grab a smoke, sit back, and enjoy.
Incredible stuff, surprised I’ve never heard of them before.
Excellent production and some classic tracks. A powerhouse of the 2000s for a reason
Solid beats and production with good socially conscious lyrics. Just hard for me to listen to a whole album of it
Obviously an influential piece of art, with many bands still today replicating this sound. However, few tracks really stand out and a lot tend to blend together. Decent album overall
Wonderful album, I love the mix of folk and blues present on many of the tracks
A bit all over the place sound wise but otherwise an excellent album with heavy influence in the genre
What can be said about this album that hasn’t been already? Despite that, even Pink Floyd has better work in my opinion
Low-fi hip hop beats to chill and study to
Very innovative and influential for rock. Was surprised to hear what sounded like metal chords and riffs at points.
Nice basslines but funk isn’t my fav
A holy combination of blues and psychedelic rock. Legend
I could see myself getting drunk and singing these songs really loud
Enjoyable easy listening. Great background noise
The type of music that makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn’t even alive. Easy listening and good background music
“Good old boys” makes sense after hearing how many times he drops the n word in the first song
Funk just isn’t my thing
Good 90s vibes
Nothing special and like half the songs were missing on spotify
Honestly fire, need more women led punk. Wish it was on Spotify
They were better as a synth pop band
Enjoyable enough but pales in comparison to some of their 80s work.
What’s not to love about MJ. Solid album
Raw, powerful, and emotional
Elegia was so good it forced a second listen
One of the greatest debut albums of all time
Incredible beats and production. Though not quite as good as low end theory or midnight marauders. Can I kick is is a top song of all time
Very little to hate about this work of art
Love the blues and R&B influence on this album. Not a bad song on the album
Essential indie. Chill and enjoyable
Kind of shit
Each song is pretty hit or miss for me, but when they hit, they hit
I didn’t hate it
Don’t get the hype
Great live album
