liked his intentions, style, made me blue, sometimes repetitive in a way I wasn’t a fan of
catchy, unique, classic kendrick, corny lyrics/structuring at times, cool samples etc
corny theatrical (which is maybe good idk in terms of being different) but at the same time they seem to lack lustre or passion?! Perhaps it’s just cos idk the guy , repetitive at points to no effect, trying too hard for a shock factor but ig that’s his brand, 3/10
can appreciate what it was for the time and the talent that was involved but even after giving it a few goes, it doesn’t quick click with me. build ups and layering are cool.
really like so far, less liking now actually lol, some features i like ie trippy instruments, reverby, mysterious tone of some of the songs, think i mostly just don’t like the vocals… kind of giving bastille or take that or smth 5/10
Pretty cool, like the energy 10/10 would mosh again, all kinda sounds the same but its ok. like the vocals 7/10
just cool asf really 8/10
can just imagine how important and revolutionary this type of music was for the time, not as angry and punkish as i was expecting but the message is still very prevalent 6/10
WOWEE LOVE 8/10
mmmm love the bassey sound and breakbeats. some songs are kinda monotone so far but still pretty funky. knew i recognised the vocalist from massive attack. Some lyrics are kinda corny. Everything kinda sounds the same 7/10
just love it mate 8/10
From reading about it, already have some preconceptions about how i’m going to receive it. Mentions of Siddhartha and King Crimson sway me as the book and the band are both things I have enjoyed in the past. Very cool so far, love the build ups and harmonies, composition, intstrumentation etc. By the end I was less into it as the novelty kind of wore off. Still the unique musical choices persisted as well as cool themes in the lyrics and such.
just so cool, no complaints, a very good time
Nice opening song. Some songs cant decide whether they want to be mellow or hard i think. Kinda Stone Roses ish. idk didn’t really stand out to me but also wasn’t bad
rip queenie
idk just standard indie type music, nothing really stands out to me. Sorry strokes!
Pretty nice at times, pretty boring at others. Nice voice that goes with the music, and i like the mood of the whole album.
just love it so far although already was a velvet underground fan. Such a good mix of songs & styles, their experimentation all sounds brilliant, lyrics and themes are so cool
pretty gewd
didnt think i was gonna enjoy but quite sweet actually! not the subject matters of the songs but the style and singing lol
Off the bat very cool like the energy, like the vocals, very cool instrumental choices. really like the playfulness. Very memorable 8.5/10
Very cool, like the variation of energy, style, instrumentation etc, yet consistency and edginess throughout. was thinking hmm this sounds familiar OH WAIT gorillaz…. 8/10
Very lovely, soft and clean sounds, almost perfect/pure sounding
Nice vibe love her voice, felt like seeing the album cover gave me a different experience than what I would have if I hadn’t seen it. Not so much of a fan of the jammy stuff towards the end
Like the vibe, energy, instruments. Some really stand out songs but apart from the few, the rest kinda blend into one.
lurv the vibes- nothing bad to say bout it
was cool cant remember too much though sorry guys!
Truly EPIC lol but really was… made me feel chills
It was ok, interesting to see the emergence of rap into more mainstream
interesting
Cool vibe but didn't stand out sorry!!!
quite compelling, liked more the more I listened. ethereal feminine energy
Pretty cool!
