Def LeppardWarm fuzzy 80s vibe, sick guitar riffs, passionate vocals, excellent harmonies. Every track is solid. This shit is good.

Excellent classic electronica. Wide variety of beats and moods. Fun to hear some stuff that ends up getting sampled by others later. Also makes me want to listen to some Orbital...
Talky folk. Nope
Eh, it was alright. Great background for the right activity, but not really revelatory or interesting as a primary focus.
Monotone. Off key. Devoid of emotional content other than glassy eyed contentment. They are like a hillbilly 70s cover band that never seems to actually capture the spirit of the songs they are covering.
I don't think there were any hidden gems on this album. The good ones all got played a million times on the radio. Reasonably entertaining, but whole album feels fairly juvenile/simplistic (or maybe that's just nostalgia and age-association)
So bad. Every song was 3x as long as it should have been and they all sounded the same.
Warm fuzzy 80s vibe, sick guitar riffs, passionate vocals, excellent harmonies. Every track is solid. This shit is good.
So 90s it hurts. Good energy, but overly polished sound and extreme sameness of the singers voice (or overall composition??) on every track makes it pretty uninteresting track to track. Catchy tho. Couldn't help but whine along at times... "A Place for My Head" stands out a bit - the rapping is more focal and screaming is a bit different than all the other tracks Did they have a different producer for last tracks of album?? "Forgotten" also pleasantly different, sort of a Alice in Chains vibe to the chorus.
Not bad. Pretty similar sound to all the tracks. Very classic rock feel, the vocals are sometimes not my favorite. Great guitar in some tracks.
Meh. Phil Spector is even crazier than I knew (see wiki)
Like a whole album of the early Beatles folksy stuff. Inoffensive
Pretty generic drone- acoustic. Meh.
More eclectic than I would have anticipated! Remembered the couple of radio hits, but the rest were lots of experimental and varied sounding electronic tracks. Still, kind of dull and not really something I'd put on again
Boo
Some good bluesy/classic rock guitar rifs, but not the most riveting album overall
Surprising range of genres. Classic rock, disco, proto-electronic, british invasion, queen, honky-tonk. Liked several tracks for later listing (Diary of Horace Wimp, Hold on Tight, Telephone Line, Showdown, Strange Magic). Pretty good stuff, but need to be in good mood (or in need of one..) when listening!
Lyrics kinda hidden behind music - oddly hard to parse for lyric focused music. Venom track is pretty good. Overall very monotone and some muzak level backgrounds. Meh.
Quite the slow burn intro. Honestly not as metal as anything modern. More akin to stoner/psychedelic rock. Delightfully fuzzy guitars and baleful vocals.
Starts of simple, unimpressive - but then weaves it's own mood/vibe as it goes. Found myself liking a lot of the less popular tracks that I was less familiar with.
They have other songs! Oh no...second track is depressing as fuck... Some nice fuzzy guitar on Not Ready Yet. Still getting the "music to kill yourself by" vibe overall. Some tracks more fun than sad...but overall probably not putting this on again.
Pretty repetitive first track. Boring. Same for second. 4th track holds up Some tracks have a decent groove. Mostly boring by modern standards. Even when considering only other ambient music. Also...like..a lot of cultural appropriation?
Sounds pretty generic punky. Fun!
VERY distinctive 90s sound. Interesting the amount of overlap with early NIN stuff in terms of drum machines at least. Overall probably not one I'd put on, very flat vocals, at times gratingly so.
Pretty and Sad. John Wayne Gacy song is creepy. SAAAAD. JFC. Pretty though.
Little beatles-y, little Smashing Pumpkins-y, little White Stripes Some excellent blues-y guitar riffs and driving drums. Energetic, fun, modern punky rock feel. Kinda monotonous by the time you get to the second disc.
Sick! Grundge exemplified. Still mostly just enjoying the popular hits, but good overall. Also Heroin! So many heroin lyrics!
Didn't recognize her name, but did recognize the top track! (Gloria). Next track was unremarkable and I had to skip Birdland after 3min. Talking is not singing. So much talk singing. Not really enjoying the rest of this album.
Slow songs are horrible. Funky fast songs are great! Really like Contusion, Sir Duke and whatever came after that one
This album is better than the first, tighter and better production. Not sure why they are both included, I think one album accurately represents them as there are not major differences between them.
Hard to judge this away from my dad and other boomer exceptionalism. I like Dylan...but there's just so much about him that's wrapped up in the ego and politics of his time...it's hard to enjoy purely. Ultimately I'm not sure it's really my cup of tea anyway, perhaps that's why I fixate on the peripheral aspects of him. Some tracks are fascinatingly complex and surreal, but all of it heavily overlayed with cynicism. Also his voice is really flat.
Tinny, silly, gutless...but yeah sure. I guess I can hear the metal roots underneath. Still...pretty rough listening. 2nd track is better. Got some soul to it. Gets better as it goes. Really underserved by the recording technology.
MEH. Also wtf, why do people enjoy listening to singers who sing flat? So grating. Couldn't make it past halfway. Whiny garbage.
1st track pretty rough 2nd track better. Clearly a lot of influential sounds.
Experimental music for sad sacks and sentimentalists.
Good stuff. A bit monotone at times, but would absolutely put this album on again. Enjoyed the louder stuff more than the quiet
Initially: recognizable. Cheesy. Nostaligic...but in a 70s theatrical way. I really wanted to dislike it. Unfortunately it's relentlessly upbeat and catchy, while also complex in composition and with interesting slice of life/observational quality to it. UGH. Good shit.
Every song is amazing. Favorites: Since I been loving you, Gallows pole, Tangerine, Bron-y-aur stomp
Like punky-er Rolling Stones. Pretty decent!
Excellent! Like Tribe...but maybe even better? More interesting beats overall
Never listened to this one! Kinda reminds me of Spinal Tap - Gimme Some Money. Got that really goofy scrawny white guy singing exaggerated blues vibe. Honestly a bit cringy...
Pretty well produced. Very clear, modern sounding. Low key acoustic for a rainy day. Probably a little too country for me to actually put on, but some nice tracks here and there.
Catchy fun!
Put it on when you want to pretend you're in a light hearted 80s movie! Some songs excellent...others required a skip. Super classic 80s vibe through and through tho. Sun always shines is a crazy good track I'd never heard before. Some higher energy/electronic tracks def stand above the slower/quieter stuff. Can hear a lot of inspiration for modern synthwave and 90s industrial music in there.
JAAAAAZZZZ!
Some songs alright. Somehow all of them feel like they are 7 to 10 min long...even when they're really onyl 3-5. I guess i find them repetitive.
Really impressive diversity of beats. Unique to anything else I've heard. Fun, clever, slice of life lyrics. Good stuff!
Oh look more 60s folksy psychedelic rock....anyway...
Amazing. Great energy, great recording. Probably the best live album i've ever heard
It's the big one. I like it.
Energizing! Olde Time-y! Brassy! Blam! Pow! Splash! Also what a crazy album cover for a jazz album. Great symbolism of both the energy of the album and of the atomic age in general.
Not poorly made, but not for me
The more I hear of 60s psychedelic rock the less the unique the beatles seem. Maybe these are all imitators...but maybe they're all just sorta the same.
Weird composition choices. Lyrics belong on r/Im14andthisisdeep
Better than the other chili peppers album...but bailed about half way through. Just a lot of the same sound
Pretty generic 80s. Nothing too inspiring or memorable for me, though obviously a few recognizable major hits
1st - track - Zepplin guitar 2nd track - Pearl jam guitar 3rd track - Rolling stones? It may be derivative...but damn. It's basically built for my tastes. I remember liking them a lot in high school!
Excellent classic electronica. Wide variety of beats and moods. Fun to hear some stuff that ends up getting sampled by others later. Also makes me want to listen to some Orbital...
So classic. A really unique sound and energy that is instantly recognizable.
Why do people like singers who are constantly off-key?
Sounds like sesame st.
Talky folk. Nope
