Wild Is The Wind
Nina SimoneI do like Nina Simone, but I like greatest hits Nina Simone. I don't like an album that is so bereft of joy. This was hard work.

Some stand out covers amongst some dreary songs. Hurt and Personal Jesus are my favourites
Remember listening a long time ago, which is a crime, this needs to go on my random list. Some great songs. Just before my era.
Better than I thought, I guess I'd heard most of them anyway over the years. Wall of Sound or Hail of Bullets. Guy had talent back in the day.

Every one a banger! Hadn't heard for a long time, loving it :)
Mostly killer, with some filler - big double album to fill and the hits were just sooooo bloody good.
Not my favourite JK album, still a good listen though
I always wondered if I was being unfair to them. Turns out they really aren't my cup of tea. There were moments of melody that were then killed by fast fast fast slow slow slow etc
Every ones a winner winner chicken dinner :)
I like to think of this as Led Zeppelin Greatest Hits Vol. 1
Generic Electronic, inoffensive but nothing that made my ears prick up :(
Some great songs, never really listened much to Johnny, but will be back to this one!
Surprisingly good, lots to like in old school hip hop :)
Obviously one stand out track but everything else was good, especially Dandy which I'd never heard.
Love Dusty, another one where the whole album disappointed but the famous ones didn't. My mum would have loved it.
All killer with no filler! They're all great songs and a fantastic version of the Beatles "Across the Universe" 1975 didn't sound any better ;)
Yeah, good in its day but clapton was so much more than the armani suits and brandy/coke habit. Obviously some stand out tracks but pointing towards shit era clapton
Not for me, great lyricist but I can't stand sucky/blowy harp
I played this until my cassette tape broke, my favourite Police album. To me they're all awesome tracks - fast forwarding was too much bother in an Escort Mk2. Yeah yeah Every breath is a 'stalkers' song etc, it can be perceived in more than one way, which is why people had it played at their wedding. My favourite song on the album is Synchronicity II, I still remember the video being a cool helicopter shot over a scottish loch with crap dr who effects - cool at the time, but nothing you couldn't knock up with a drone, basic video editing and half an hour nowadays. Anyway, I love every song on this album - and Mother ties in first place nuttiest Police song with Sally (won't you be my girl) both great :D 10/10 for me
Marvelous! Genuinely something new to me, only knew him from PiL
No need for comment...
Better than expected
Love this Rip Terry Hall
Not my cup of tea
Excellent
I just found it annoying
Yes, well what can I say... 3 tunes and the rest is muzak.
Really rather good, its Ella, whats not to like?
One of the many excellent Belle & Sebastian albums, first rate song writing as ever :D
Not unpleasant to listen too, but you can have too much jangly 12 string, whacked lyrics and reversed music.
Marvelous! Completely unexpected but a new favourite
Whats not to like? Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart at their best :)
Amys voice here is her best, before drink and drugs really took hold.
Still not a fan but an improvement on 60's Dylan
Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers, whats not to like? Chock a block of great bass grooves.
My favourite Queen album. Every one a bangers - all Killer Queens with no Filler Queens...
I've liked Ray for many years but never listened to this one for some crazy reason - maybe I was put off by the title, not thinking that it was still going to be classic fantastic Ray.
Nice trip hoppy feel, will listen again...
Nothing to say, one of their best for me :)
Not really my cup of tea, mostly pretentious prog drivel. Appreciate the musicianship so it got a 2
By far my favourite purple album
A pioneeer, a legend and its all great :)
Innofensive, the hits make it.
Awesome :) Right up my alley
A classic for on a class act
One of my favourite albums of all time
Funky Full First Finale....
All good fun :)
Some craicing tracks on this one...
Sounds a bit dated now but I did own at the time
Excellent
Awesome, forgot how good this was!
Some stand out covers amongst some dreary songs. Hurt and Personal Jesus are my favourites
Awesome, hadn't heard all of this before :)
I knew the hits but the rest is as good
