Duck Stab/Buster & Glen
The ResidentsFucking awful.
Fucking awful.
Bored. Nice slide playing, but same 2 country chords throughout.
Great studio setup and song writers. Basically her "greatest hits" album
Full live band in a bar, this would be great, otherwise not my jam. Caroline was the best track.
With context, being a solo album at a young age, it's highly virtuosic. However, outside the few minutes used for The Exorcist, it was too much to enjoy. Random instrumental wankery above anything else.
Old school country, few classics. Great musicianship. Often imitated, but the originals were the best.
Monster bass tone. A lot of Mötorhead influence. Decent.
Sums up what ZZ Top are about. Solid bangers.
Sound and Vision is easily the best track. Sounds like a low budget sci-fi soundtrack for the most part. Absolutely not his best work. Low is right.
Hopes were up because of Nick Mason. Then they plummeted to Rock Bottom. When you consider Dark Side of the Moon was the same year, this, for "prog" was awful.
Alright. Kind of see where "concept album" comes into it. Not a huge fan overall, but listenable.
Great, but not their absolute best. Dear Prudence and While my guitar are 10/10 though.
She can certainly sing. Mixing seemed very off and the singles were definitely boosted. Up and down.
A masterclass in rhythm. Arguably In My Time of Dying is greater than the eponymous Kashmir. Not the same standard as 1-4, but a great album overshadowed.
Great sounds from The Experience. Some of the longer jams go on a bit without adding much, but the classics from this album are exactly that for good reason.
1 flaw. There's not enough. This Man has soul and grit. The quality of live recording is excellent for its age too. Brilliant listening.
Raw, raucous and energetic. You can hear how many other sounds were influenced by these guys.
King of the swinging zoo indeed. The most fun music I've listened to in a long time, and those sliding vocal harmonies were excellent.
Get the story. Lyrically strong, but not his best work. Agree with general critical statements. Doesn't touch his best stuff by a long way.
Awesome. Kick in the balls, throw you to the floor and beat you in a mosh pit. No punches pulled. A no frills metal album. Really enjoyed it.
Meh.
Some bits were too much and repetitive. The bass heavy tracks had some major stank though.
Nothing much other than Waterloo Sunset.
Decent blues album. Not the best material though.
Gave up halfway through. The only decent stuff is where a sample of another song was used. Naff.
Flavours of inspiration from Talking Heads and for The Pixies. Enjoyed it, decent.
Hard to dislike Neil. Great for live album too. Last track hits harder now than when this was recorded.
More than what I thought was a one hit wonder band. Decent listen.
Golden years is a banger. Everything else was musically decent filler.
Bangin' live music. Rough and loud.
Too much to take in. Feels cramped, getting in as much as possible.
Yawn
Top stuff
Fucking awful.
Got a bit of everything. Every dynamic accounted for.
"Arty". Got boring. Either too much "stuff" in a song, or nothing drives the song.
Already loved this album.
Alright. Miles Davis is more interesting.
Not massive on T-Rex, but Bolan did what he did perfectly.
Not his best album, but a good one.
Meh. Got bored halfway through
Too proggy for my taste. Lots of messy noise.
Not bad, but nothing special by any means. Plays a mean piano.
Nothing too exciting.
Not bad, bit too much by the end.
Would never have thought to listen to this. Really relaxing and great musicianship.
Dreary rubbish. Didn't finish it.
Great what a sequencer and something to say can achieve. Pretty good, and compared with more over produced records, very clean
Super repetitive. Almost irritatingly so.
Fair few bangers.
RRRAGAGAHHHGAGARRAGAGAHHHAGAGAGAGAGGAGAGAGAGGEHRRR
Got bored, samey.
Great music, but not overly memorable.
Not bad overall. Shows another side to Iommi with the quieter tracks.
Easily forgotten.
Like a greatest hits. Much more to it than Vol. 4
One of the first albums I bought. Great stuff.
Possibly his best all round album and sparked John Mayer's whole career.
Mama Mia II soundtrack for the most part. Basically greatest hits part 2. Great pop.
Bored. Nice slide playing, but same 2 country chords throughout.
Not their best, bit long winded
What a debut. As strong as it is, and closing with Freebird.
He's decent, but this style of blues is repetitive.
Great songwriter, but really have to be in the mood for Dylan. He's difficult
