Kind of boring. Not a huge fan of Ozzy’s voice.
It was fine but I wasn’t a huge fan. It was cool to recognize some of the classics from this album.
Yet another album with classic songs (Blister in the Sun / Gone Daddy Gone) that I recognize even though I don’t know the band. There’s something about the guy’s voice that sounds… lazy? Almost sounds like the guy is singing karaoke or something. Hard to put my finger on what it is, but it makes me feel a bit bored too.
The album was fine I guess.
Kind of boring but I didn’t hate it.
One or two songs were ok.
Ok, this album was good. Glad I gave it a listen.
Overall I liked this album. Some funny lyrics and some fun musical moments.
I liked it overall. Some songs were just OK, some songs were great.
Sometime pioneers are dumb.
Better than absolute 80s garbage I guess.
Lots of iconic songs on here that I recognize from various tv shows and movies. Not my cup of tea but I didn’t hate it.
Some great songs on this album.
I liked this album more than I thought I would. Lyrically interesting, musically pretty boring.
I get that The Clash are iconic and all, but I was very bored by this album.
I liked this album. If you factor in the virtual band concept I would give the album 4 stars, because I think that’s a big part of what makes the Gorillaz cool.
Are they called “The Specials” because they’re special? I don’t know and frankly I don’t care- I could barely get through this album once. This may be my least favourite album so far, so in a sense they are special.
It was indeed music for airports. Boring but somewhat pleasant.
Country music is NOT my jam.
Didn’t like this one very much.
90s action movies called- they want their soundtrack back.
Not really my jam but I still enjoyed it for the most part.
The 80s was a dark time for music. Some catchy songs but overall was not a fan.
This album was enjoyable- had some interesting sounds.
If I wanted to listen to a poorly sung rendition of “I Got You Babe” I would go to karaoke. The voice that delivered the line “Edumacation ain’t for me” was very believable- sounded highly regarded. Vapid lyrics delivered by shitty singers.
I really liked this album. Sounds more modern than the release date would suggest. Perhaps ahead of its time?
Some great songs on this album
When I first started listening to TVOTR this was the first album I got into. I really like their sound overall.
Was a mix of ok and bad songs
I used to love this album. I still do, but I used to, too.
