Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots
The Flaming LipsFight, Title song, do you realize??? very good songs. Rest neat but forgettable
Fight, Title song, do you realize??? very good songs. Rest neat but forgettable
Blitzkrieg Bob is punk anthem. Rest sounds very similar and not that special
Wonderwall overrated. Pulp is the better britpop band
count bussing fr with the fire album cover favourites are: the kid from red bank, flight of the foo birds, teddy the toad, whirly bird and splanky
wouldn't it be nice is the best song here. Rest is pretty similar sounding but enjoyable. Not my favourite type of music but not bad.
Nice alt-rock. Nothing outstanding but overall very enjoyable.
Not a singer-songwriter guy. The first few songs are nice but I didn't really like the rest. I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to the whole album again. Highlights: Allergies, Hearts and Bones, When Numbers get Serious
Don't understand how this is supposed to be a prog-rock album except for YYZ. Still very good rock though. Highlights: Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ, The Camera Eye
It being upbeat jazz makes it very easy to listen to. Sinatra's voice is also amazing here.
Has a few nice songs but most of them I couldn't enjoy. Plus the skits are just weird. Highlights: Konnichiwa, Shutdown, That's Not Me
Average Dance album. A few good tracks but mostly forgettable and gets a bit boring. Highlights: Move any Mountain
Better highs than on Green, but overall still the same. A lot of songs don't stand out but it's enjoyable rock nonetheless. Highlights: Finest Worksong, It's The End Of The World As We Know It, The One I Love
Shit bussing, very catchy and fun to listen to Highlights: Clandestino, Bongo Bong, Je ne t'aime plus
Nice vocals and quality guitar jamming to some good blues. Very influential on Led Zeppelin and many other Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands. Highlights: Let Me Love You, You Shook Me, Rock My Plimsoul, Beck's Bolero
Tainted Love stands way above the rest of the album, but still really nice. Highlights: Tainted Love
For rap I mostly listen to East Cost, but Ice Cube is great. Liked the political messages of some of the songs. And the more laid-back ones are awesome! Highlights: Now I Gotta Wet 'Cha, It Was A Good Day
Don't like the vocals and pretty much all of the songs are forgettable. I do like noisy rock and hardcore punk but no song on this album stands out that much. It's still fine to listen to but I won't be replaying it. Makes w´me wonder why it's part of the 1001 best albums. Highlights: Up Against The Wall Motherfucker, On The Lash, Caviar
Amazing electronic music album that influenced countless others after it. It has a cold dystopian feel to it, but at the same time more poppy songs like Das Modell convey a lighter atmosphere. Both the English and German versions are awesome. Together with Computerwelt this is the peak of Kraftwerk. Highlights: Die Roboter, Metropolis, Das Modell, Neonlicht
Very funky and psychedelic album, liked it a lot! Highlights: Maggot Brain, Can You Get to That
Nice New Wave album, very easy listening and fun pop Highlights: Our Lips Are Sealed, Lust To Love, This Town, We Got The Beat
Really nice voice and rapping. Cool basslines. Highlights: Offence, Boss, Selfish
Sandy Denny carries this album. Most songs did not struck with me but a few of the rockier folk are pretty nice. Highlights: Autopsy, A Sailor's Life, Who Knows Where The Time Goes?
Don't like country that much but this album has some nice laid back rock songs. Highlights: Down by the River, Running Dry, Cowgirl in the Sand
Awesome fusion of early punk and glam rock. Really good Highlights: Personality Crisis, Looking for a Kiss, Trash, Jet Boy
Not my type of music at all, none of the songs stood out to me and overall just boring. Sounds pretty much the same as every other modern pop album although it does have good sound production Highlights: Green Light
Listening to his voice gets tiring after half an hour. Didn't enjoy most of the slow songs, but that's the case with many singer-songwriter albums for me. Would give it a 2.5/5 Highlights: Badlands, Streets Of Fire, Prove It All Night
Very overplayed album but still one of the best of the 90s with a lot of influence on artists after it. 4.5/5 for me, it's a comfort album I return to a few times each year Highlights: Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Lithium, Territorial Pissing
Good punk album and a classic, but not one of my favourites. Since many of the tracks so damn short there's no time for musical buildup, compared to Crass or Subhumans this makes the music less enjoyable. Still good fun though! Highlights: Beverly Hills, Operation, Live Fast Die Young, Group Sex
Some neat new wave tracks but also many songs that don't stand out. Very light on the punk though. I think that would've made the album a bit more interesting. Highlights: Stop your Sobbing
Just not my thing
I prefer "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" but this album is also good. 3.5/5 Highlights: You Know It's True, Take your Time, Shine a Light
Oasis but bland. Sounds no different from any other pop album of the time. Honestly don't understand why it's on here
Classic Hard Rock album but in my opinion not the best of AC/DC as I prefer Dirty Deeds. Still great to listen to and the last with Bon Scott's amazing vocals. 3.5/5 Highlights: Highway To Hell, Touch Too Much, If You Want Blood (You've Got It)
There are some very good and pretty depressing songs like Awful and Dying but also others that I did not care about. Overall enjoyable though. Highlights: Awful, Hit So Hard, Dying, Northern Star
Amazing pop rock album full of classics. Both vocals and instrumentals sound great. The second half is a bit weaker but still good. 4.5/5 Highlights: Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman
Very good album. Has some great songs and some that are good.3.5/4 Highlights: Revolution Blues, On the Beach
absolute classic comfort album
Vocals are great, instrumentation also solid. I liked the first few tracks most but the rest is also nice. Hihglights: Big Exit, Good Fortune, A Place Called Home, This Is Love
Catchy funky pop. Enjoyable but not outstanding in any way. The second half is noticably weaker than the first. Highlights: Love Plus One
You Want It Darker is a great song but I didn't enjoy the rest of the album nearly as much. Still a great accomplishment considering Leonard Cohen's age at the time of recording. Highlights: You Want It Darker
There are some very catchy singles but I didn't feel that way about everything on the album. Some songs are pretty dull compared to the hits which weakens the album's structure as a whole. Highlights: Money's Too Tight To Mention, Holding Back The Years
pretty good, sounds a lot like nirvana
Highlights: If I Should Fall From Grace With God, Turkish Song of the Damned, Fairytale of New York Gets very repetitive after a few songs
absolute classic
Highlights: Love Vigilantes, The Perfect Kiss, This Time of Night, Sunrise, Elegia My favourite New Order album. Elegia is such a beautiful song
Eternal classic
