All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
May 29 2023

If you take the Apple Jam album and think of that as a bonus disc, then the rest is a five star album.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
May 30 2023

Don’t need to listen, been listening to this since I was 14 years old and still bloody love it.

Stankonia by OutKast
May 31 2023

I lasted two minutes 🫣 take it away, it’s horrible

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Jun 01 2023

Lovely stuff, what a voice, superb arrangements, what’s not to like. Reminded me of childhood, watching black and white films on a Sunday afternoon with my mum. I went online to see how much it was and it’s currently unavailable. Grrrrr.

Sea Change by Beck
Jun 02 2023

Lovely, dreamy sounding album, probably my favourite by Beck.

Jun 05 2023

Not for me, please don’t send anymore. I have only been on this site a week and already I’ve been sent two albums by OutKast.

American Pie by Don McLean
Jun 15 2023

The title track and Vincent are obviously Seventies standards and I like the cover photo, but the rest of the album leaves me a bit cold 🥶

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Jun 17 2023

Considering this album had such an effect on Eric Clapton, George Harrison and many others, I do find it hard to hear the reason why. The self titled second album is light years better than this. Apart from The Weight, which is excellent, I really struggled to like this album, which is a great pity because I truly thought I’d love it.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Jun 18 2023

This is the first cartoon band I’ve listened to since The Archies in 1970. I knew immediately this wasn’t for me, so it’s a one ☝️ on the old score board. Sorry Damon, i much prefer your solo excursions into Mali music.

Jun 20 2023

5 star album, no question. This record made vouch a big impression on me. I was seventeen when it came out, and i used to listen to it on my headphones constantly. The chiming clocks at the start of Time seemed to me, to be the most awesome sound that I’d ever experienced. Fifty years later, I’m 67 and it still sounds bloody fantastic. Should be taught at schools all over the land, so the poor little sods don’t have to listen to some of the garbage we all have to endure in 2023.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jun 25 2023
Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel

This is a strange listen for me. America, Mrs Robinson, A Hazy Shade Of Winter and At The Zoo are ruddy great, but the rest of it, stone me, what happened? It’s a 2.5 from me
