1001 Albums Summary

liked it more than i thought i would - some songs i knew but didn't know that i did and didn't know the song titles. Very cool couple of songs that were brand new to me - lots of different styles of music. Knocks Me Off My Feet was great - love the piano in the beginning

WTF did I just listen to? I don't think I'll ever listen to it again on purpose, but I'm glad I took the time to listen to this album. I'd never heard of it or Malcolm McLaren before today.

1 - Hey, I know this song. 1.5 billion streams on Spotify - guessing some other people know this song too. 2 - I listened to this song but can't remember it now that #3 started playing 3 - See #2 4 - Blue Sky was cool 5 - Kind of liked it 6 - Liking this one - cool synths 7 - Nah 8 - Better than #7 - alright 9 - It was ok - kind of repetitive 10 - Not a bad closing song. Synths good again Overall, it was better than maybe I expected it to be. Not sure it belongs on the 1001 albums I need to hear. I haven't really listened to many full albums from the 80s, and it was cool to hear an album from a band who is known as a one hit wonder.

We jammin - Good stuff - love listening to some chill Bob Marley while working.

I like the Hives and I wanted to like this album more. It could have been the day I listened, not what I was in the mood for today.

I guess this is the Bee Gees before most of the world knew them. When they were still a band who sounded more like the Beatles - before the disco Bee Gees. Nothing here really stuck with me. Not bad, just nothing I'll be coming back to.

I enjoyed myself

01 - Have always loved this song... around 2:15 begins a section that makes my top-10 list of Favorite parts of songs. Have to put that list together someday. 02 - 04 - Pretty good - not as good as #1 but it's sounds ok while I'm working. 05 - Never liked this song for some reason. Hear it on the radio and I always change the station.

Not much to say about this one - just listened to it a few days ago. One of my favorite albums. Dam That River, Rain When I Die, Down in a Hole - great 3 song sequence

This band is pretty good - never heard of them before today. I would like to hear more from them.

Such a beautiful album, one I will never tire of listening to.

4 stars instead of 5 because there are about a million songs on this album that could probably have been cut. But the songs that I love are awesome - the opening song(s) build the mood, the title track, Saturday Night's Alright, Harmony, a couple more I can't remember.
