Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk

Monk is one of if not the most influential and talented jazz pianists of all time. This is a phenomenal album with beautiful song after beautiful song. Definitely jammed to this in high school while studying the greats. A must listen to for any jazz fan. 0 skipped, 2 added.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Oct 23 2023

Phenomenal drum mix, guitar tone was very clean and made for a fun album!

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Oct 24 2023

Very repetitive but some very fun guitar lines. After the third or fourth songs it sounds like the guitar solos were almost all random hammer ons and slides. “Nick” is super catchy and fun. Overall mix is good, would love some more unique and interesting bass lines.

The Cars by The Cars
Oct 25 2023

Not my favorite but not terrible. Listened through it twice since it’s such a short album. Two songs skipped, zero songs added, won’t go back to it.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Oct 26 2023

Oh man that was definitely not my cup of tea. The vocals were way too loud, the entire album had me feeling uncomfortable. I have every song an honest try but couldn’t make it through any of them. The string ensemble at the end was beautiful, but I can’t help thinking I enjoyed it because the vocals were not present. Added 0 Didn’t finish 8.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Oct 30 2023

Not my favorite album, guitar tones and solos were fun until they all sounded the same. Skipped one on the album and the 3 live ones, band definitely sounded similar to their recordings which is pretty cool. Too repetitive for me to add any songs.

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Oct 31 2023

A very fun album that I was not expecting, so far my favorite. Ended up liking a lot of the songs that didn’t have over 20k streams. Nothing is a bop and I loved every second of it. Added 4 songs, skipped 0, and definitely will be back to check out more.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Nov 02 2023

Super weird to see super early butt rock. Also love the hard rock use of guitar without distortion. Really enjoyed Are You Happy but In-A-Giddy-Da-Vida had way to much vocal fry for my liking. Too much butt rock. Added one, skipped one, probably won’t listen to again.

My Generation by The Who
Nov 03 2023

Really great album, enjoyed it more than I thought I would. One thing this generator has been introducing me to is a lot of old school mono mixes. Added 2 skipped 1.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Nov 06 2023

Great album, tons of fun and enjoyed every song. Added 3 and have been listening to sweet Virginia all weekend

Nov 07 2023

Fun album, I was a fan of all the guitar chugging and excellent vocals. Added one, skipped zero, will be back

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Nov 08 2023

One of my favorite albums I’ve been given here. Really enjoyed how tight the mixes were and how energetic each song was. Ended up adding four and skipping zero.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Nov 13 2023

Phenomenal bass lines and a super clean mix. One song was unavailable on Spotify which was weird, would love to sit down and learn some of these bass lines. Added 3, skipped 1.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Nov 14 2023

Some of the up beat songs were a ton of fun but the ballads really ran together and didn’t have the musical story telling I was hoping for. Added 1, skipped 5.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Nov 15 2023

Very fun with great jazz influences. Really enjoyed this one! The remastering process did this a ton of favors and the album sounds very well polished. Added two, skipped zero.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Nov 16 2023

How have I never sat down and just listened to Stevie Wonder? Super fun album that I liked every song on, very energetic and addicting. Added two skipped zero.

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Nov 17 2023

Wow, fam. This generator has given me some rough to listen albums but nothing as awful as this, fam. First song had me excited, fam, second song had me a bit annoyed, fam, and the third song, fam, ended things for me. I was definitely a better person before listening to this fam. 0 songs added, 8 songs skipped. Skits were awful fam.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Nov 21 2023

Great album with some phenomenal playing. Bass player was incredible and I’m glad everyone was able to follow tradition and get a nice conversation in during all the solos! Added zero, skipped none will have on in the background.

Ys by Joanna Newsom

Wasn’t on Spotify :(
