I personally am not a giant classic rock kind of guy, but I did enjoy putting this album on softly in the back and tapping my foot to the rhythms. 2/5

I'm already a fan of Nilsson so when I got this album as my second album, I was pretty excited. Everybody's Talkin' is one of my favorite songs of all time, but honestly I'd never really dipped into a full album of Nilssons work. I'm pleasently surprised with this album.. This is the kind of album I'd buy on vinyl to throw on while I cleaned my house or cooked dinner.. I'll go over reviewing the songs I enjoyed off this album and leave out the ones that I didn't.. 'Gotta Get Up' is a great intro track, everytime I put it on I'd catch myself bopping to Nilssons flow.. "We used to carry on and drink and do the rock and roll" great tune. 'Early In The Morning' has this like.. hushed whisper feel to it, the track FEELS like getting up at 5am to go to work. Its a song that just grows on me more and more every listen. 'The Moonbeam Song' has this tranquil acoustic almost harvest moon feel about it. I love this song. A great break or pallet cleanser from the schmilsson you've gotten up until this point. A great song to put on at a lake at night under the moon.. 'Down' has this BIG almost aggressive energy to it that i love, with the horns and Nilsson howling at the top of his lungs screaming about going down to the bottom of a hole.. This is also one that grew on me more and more. Then we have side two.. We start with his most popular song, 'Without You' a beautiful song.. The song features this beautiful soft ethereal piano, and then Nilsson comes in with his iconic sound in a soft tenor voice.. I do get why this is his most popular song, and honestly.. it is an amazing song. I get chills listening to it. It starts bringing tears to my eyes as I listen to it and write this review. Its a reminder to me of all of the love I've experienced in my life, and how strong some of those bonds have been.. How I've felt like I COULD NOT go on at times, how I've loved and lost.. and it reminds me of how time heals wounds, how we find love again, and how its what life is all about.. This is what music is all about. This song reminds me of how music can just move me so powerfully.. A beautiful, beautiful song. Thank you schmilsson for this song.. AND THEN OF COURSE, my personal FAVORITE song on this album and his "meme" song, if you will.. 'Coconut' this song is just fucking FUN man.. I know this song was in some movie and kind of became like a joke song or whatever, but honestly its just funky and psychedelic and fun.. a great song along to and just be goofy! and the final track I enjoyed off of this album, was 'Jump Into The Fire'.. it feels like being in the sahara desert tripping off of peyote and you start to see a mirage of a goddess and you write her this song to prove your love to her? I don't know why but I love this song.. Overall Score: 4.2/5
My dad listened to a lot of Metallica when I was growing up.. Things like Alice in Chains, Metallica, Even some early Kid Rock (lol I know) was on often in the garage as he worked on bikes.. Now of course I have listened to Master of Puppets before but I never really gave Metallica my full time of day. As a teen I loved metal like Slipknot and as a young adult I was more into bands like Power Trip or Loathe.. So relistening to Master of Puppets as a complete work, I was reminded how sick this band really is.. I won't get into a full review of each track that I loved on this album but my favorite song on this album is 'The Thing That Should Not Be'.. It starts with a slow build but quickly you're led into this buzzsaw power metal riff that you just want to start moving to. My one gripe with this album is I don't find it as replayable as some other albums.. Once I've listened through once, I feel satisfied for awhile.. anyways, I love this track. I love this album. I love Metallica. Some of the greatest metal of all time for sure. Overall: 4.4/5
Frank Ocean as my third album?!? I had a strong love in my past that helped me believe in numerology and the fate of things, and she showed me frank ocean and loved the number 3.. We don't talk anymore, but this made me think of her and the love we shared. Overall, I've listened to this album so many times already, its an amazing album and frank is very very talented. I won't go too in depth with my review on this one because.. well its Channel Orange lol. Who doesn't know about Frank Ocean or this album. Listening to this album to review, I can definitely see more flaws now than when I was younger and first listening to it, but its still a great work of art. Overall: 3.8/5
I'll start by saying, I'd never heard of Keith Jarrett. I listen to some classical music, some pianist's here and there but not really often.. and this album blew me away. I was absolutely moved, taken away by this album. The places this album took me in my mind.. I loved this album. Keith moves a single, granted 20 minute long, track through sooo many different moods and themes its just.. incredible. he truly is a master musician. Overall: 4.7/5
I am a Bowie fan and I did enjoy this album, but it wasn't my favorite.. A few tracks I loved on this thing were 'Drive-In Saturday', 'Time', 'The Jean Genie' and 'Lady Grinning Soul' but honestly, outside of these 5 tracks I didn't really enjoy much more than these.. now granted, thats half the album, but I don't know something about this album it just.. it felt like a few random tracks throw around a few more central focused songs, and to me I loved the few that I mentioned before but I wasn't the biggest fan of the album as a whole. I found myself struggling to fully finish this album, I don't know why.. I tried to give it a fair listen the whole way through a few times, but the middle of the album would usually lose me so instead I focused on the tracks that I did enjoy. Overall: 2.8/5
I actually really enjoyed this album as a full piece. I have listened to a little bit of Iron Maiden over my years, but once again I didn't really get into the hair metal kind of genre too much.. I liked bands like Def Leppard, Journey, AC/DC, Guns n Roses etc and obviously I'd heard songs like 'The Number Of The Beast' and 'Run To The Hills' before but I'd never really gave Iron Maiden a real chance and after this album.. yeah I'm a fan. Its not my favorite stuff ever, but its definitely got a place in my rotation. My favorite tracks on this thing were 'The Prisoner' and 'Hallowed Be Thy Name'.. Overall: 3.3/5
I found a few jams on this album I liked but honestly, never heard Eels before this and not the biggest fan.. it was alright, some of it was kind of boring to me though while some of it was mid to decent.. Overall: 2.1/5
I mean what can I say about this album other than I was born in 1993.. I heard this album so much growing up and personally I'm a britney fan, at least her early days, I mean how could you not be? Especially being born in the era I was.. That being said this album ISN'T perfect no but it does has so many great pop songs on it.. to name a few I mean lets start with the opening track and one of her most famous songs, '...Baby One More Time', which is like saying the words "Pikachu" everyone knows Pikachu.. A great energy song, then we get 'Crazy' which has big psycho energy (early signs) but its such a catchy song.. then we have probably my favorite song on the album, 'Sometimes' its this like ballet-y kind of 90s song and it just feels good.. I love this track. I hated Soda Pop myself, this is what I meant by this album isn't perfect lol.. but then honestly, the later half of this album just was not it. I mean it definitely front loaded this thing but god like this album just kind of feels like a mess, a bunch of different sounds and not like a collective piece which I guess is fine, its pop music but idk, lets just say the second half has a lot of dollar general shopping music on it.. BUT that being said 'Born To Make You Happy' is my SECOND favorite song on this album, it was ALMOST my favorite but like the more I listened to it I thought, "God it's so fucking corny" lol but idk I just like it. 'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart' is a great break up/broken up/sad song, its got a bit of uhh.. extra.. vocals on it, but its a decent song.. and then, honestly after that like it just gets bad in my opinion, I don't want to get too into the songs but I definitely think the goods on this thing are in the front/middle. Overall: 2.2/5
As someone who grew up without a Coldplay phase, I really am loving them in my more adult life.. I was too busy listening to fucking System of a Down to listen to anything but Coldplays hits but man this album as a whole was great in my opinion. On this album Chris deals with a lot of subject matter.. we go over religion, being a piece of shit and being pretty down and out, and finding god and that path to redemption, how beautiful that connection with our creator can be, as someone who has had a handful of these like true connected feelings with our creator.. man they're special. I loved basically every track on this thing except maybe one or two.. 'Politik' has this great sllow build up to, in which (this is at least how i percieve it) chris or the point of view is praying to the creator, asking for "time, space.. strength, but reserve control. he's praying for things like heart and soul, time and a big old kiss for every single one of us :) praying for wounds that heal, and cracks that fix.. then finally he asks us all to open up our eyes, to the creators prescence in this life, how we as human beings are naturally spiritual creatures, there is strong power in god and its such a beautiful way to live life, everyone should feel the love of god.. and not just in like a christian way, but in just a godly way.. its beautiful. After asking for quite a few things (mostly good) in a prayer, near the end of the song he closes with asking for love over all of this. I thought this was a great way to open the album. 'In My Place' has to be one of my favorite songs on this album, the energy and feel to this song is just perfect to me.. it feels like autumn, meloncholic and just beautiful. Really love this song, especially the ending "please, please, please" ugh. In this song, i believe chris is reflecting on his past, maybe a person he wasn't so happy to have been in the past.. mistakes he made, he mentions he crossed lines he shouldn't of crossed, he was lost.. but asking how long must he pay for this? How long must we wait for redemption? How long must we repent? My favorite part of the song is the ending though, when he says "singing please, please, please come back and sing to me" referencing there will always be a space, a slot, a section for lovers we've shared with before.. maybe not to reconnect, but a space for them in some way.. its a beautiful song about redemption, about having some mistakes in your past, but moving past them and becoming a better person from it. a song i really relate to and feel, i love this song. 'God Put A Smile Upon Your Face' this song kind of has this "sung by a campfire" feel, and then it finally bursts into an electric guitar track around a minute in. this song deals how a lot of us question why are we here, where do we go when we die, and what is the point of any of this, but ultimately how freeing it is to just let go in the grace of the creator and realize, god put a smile on your face.. i especially love the lyrics "when you work it out, i'm worse than you.. yeah when you work it out, i wanted to" just referencing maybe some past regret and self reflection on it.. but as we're kind of kicking ourselves as we're down, chris also says, don't ever say you're on your way down, when god gave you style and gave you grace! Flaunt it! Smile, life is too beautiful! Its just a great feeling song.. 'The Scientist' I believe this song is about a conversation chris has had with a scientist, or maybe a man of science vs him, a man of god.. and the conflicts and battles these worlds can create between each others beliefs and how they can be sensitive. He's asking the man for his secrets, and he accepts the mans questions to him about his faith, and then he asks lets go back to the start, yours and mine.. (science vs faith) my favorite lyrics in this song are "Questions of science, science and progress do not speak as loud as my heart.. but tell me you love me, come back and haunt me.. oh, and i RUSH to the start" they're beautiful lyrics about how you can pull apart the mysteries, but god its so much more beautiful to live the way chris is referencing in these lyrics.. I might have this wrong, but to me thats what these lyrics really rang through to me. 'Clocks' kind of a meme song (i think of this ONE scene in the office, jim's presentation at sabre) but if i DONT think about that, i can't REALLY get a firm grasp of the message in this song honestly, other than wondering if you're doing what right, or doing whats wrong.. are you part of the cure, or are you the disease.. you are. i just wanted to go home(you).. (Honestly I used to love this song, now not so much..) 'Daylight' I think this song is about chris (or point of view) finally, regardless of his surprise, seeing a "sunlight" (god) regardless of being NOTHING, being in the dark.. the clouds burst to show daylight and the sun will shine.. to me, this song feels like finding god after being in a very dark place, and a song i can relate to as someone who has only recently in the past 5~ years or so somewhat found a "god" being of my own.. the energy on the end of track ugh 'Green Eyes' A love song dedicate to you, green eyes.. the spotlight shines upon you, for honey you are the rock that i stand upon." a sweet lil acoustic song dedicated to a lover i'm sure.. "I came here with a load, and it feels so much lighter now i met you." these lyrics make me think of my baby. I'd love to learn this song on acoustic. I think i'll do that. 'Warning Sign' This is the first track on the album that i didn't really love. it's just feels kind of like filler. i think its a song about chris (or point of view) in a relationship and things were getting serious or moving fast, and he/pov started looking for warning signs but then after breaking things off, realizing they were an island they let pass by, and the truth is really he/pov misses them. I don't know, not my song. 'A Whisper' Second song on the album i didn't really enjoy. it just kind of feels messy and loud and ironically chris is just singing "whisper" half of the song.. not really a fan. 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' I didn't LOVE this song, but i enjoyed it for sure. To me, it feels like chris/pov is saying he's going to burn this place to the ground and after the subject material we've dealt with in this album, to me it feels like he's referencing an older version of himself perhaps? I could be wrong about this one but, its what i get from the song. Its an alright song, and the song the album is named after, but its not my favorite song on the album. 'Amsterdam' At first i didn't really enjoy this song, but it grew on me.. the piano is nice, and the subject material is serious and relatable. We can all feel dead on the surface, screaming underneath.. on the edge tied to a noose.. but you (god, a love, a friend etc) came along and you cut me loose.. thank you for saving me. This song definitely grew on me after my first listen. The more i listen to it, i think its a good closing track to the album, closing out a fairly good album as a whole that dealt with rough pasts, regrets, lost loves, and the freeing feelings of connecting with the spirit or essence of our creator, the one we call "god" Overall: 4.3/5
Who hasn't heard of the Red Hot Chili Peppers? To be honest, I grew up listening to this record, when I was a young skater punk.. I haven't given RHCP a serious listen in awhile, but after revisiting this album and listening to Anthony's lyrics man.. There are some amazing songs in this album. I won't go too into detail over this album, or the next few reviews I do, as I have been out of town the past few days and need to catch up BUT I really loved 'Parallel Universe' was just this plucky funky lil diddy that I just loved, 'Get on Top' had this fun manic punk sound and was all about fucking, obviously 'Californication' holds up and the lyrics are still so good but I think my personal favorite track on this album has to be 'Easily' I just loved the sound and feel of this song. Overall: 3.3/5
What an album.. Aretha Franklin has such a beautiful, powerful voice.. an actual queen. Some of these songs are classics that I still love to this day, but I found a lot of deep cuts I never knew about thanks to digging into this album.. She was definitely sad on this album, dealing with some kind of heartbreak as many of us have. I think my favorite track on this thing is 'Baby, Baby, Baby' its got this slowdance, 80s back up vocals, swing feel that I love. There are definitely a few songs on this thing that I didn't LOVE.. ('Don't Let Me Lose This Dream' just felt out of place here a bit and kind of like resort/cabana music lol wasn't a big fan of this one.. at times it ALMOST had me but nah..) Overall: 3.1/5
I am a fan of some old punk music, and I'll be honest I didn't know who Public Image was until this review and yeah I can say, I'm a fan. This album was pretty sick but it wasn't the easiest listen.. As I've aged, my anxst and punk youth has moved on with it and I find it harder to listen/relate to punk music, that being said I tried to really listen to this album and of course, this thing focuses on government, religion, the chains of society and feeling lost in our world. I enjoyed this album for the barely living punk youth left in me, but I don't think I'd be listening to it frequently, and I'll be pretty shocked at myself if I find myself revisiting it. I just have to be honest here. My favorite track on this thing.. Eh I don't really have one.. Least favorite god.. I really didn't like the opening track, it drug on for way too long and the religion tracks after.. I needed to listen to this album when I was 16 lol I don't know.. Overall: 1.6/5
This album was a fun listen, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes any kind of electronic music. I definitely added a few of these songs to a few of my playlists after listening through this thing. Id never heard of this Norwegian duo but I really loved the different, but equally chill sounds they had.. Some of my favorite tracks were 'Eple' this thing has this weird but catchy lil sound to it, 'In Space' just felt like the title suggests, like you're "In Space" and 'Remind Me' is just.. easily my favorite track on this thing. I loved this song and its been stuck in my head since I heard it. Just a catchy, kind of homage to a classic. Overall: 2.8/5
Prince really is a legend.. Even if some of these songs aren't your speed, you can't deny prince is a musical genius. He plays multiple instruments, is an incredible singer and lyricist.. I personally loved this album, some of my personal favorites on this thing were the track the album is named after, 'Sign 'O' The Times' its just thing funky lil bop.. also, 'The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker' is just this encouraging jam that prince shows his talents off on. 'Starfish and Coffee' is a weird song that I just adore, but my favorite track on this thing has to be 'Slow Love' its just perfectly my speed.. Disc 2 has some bops on it too.. 'U Got The Look' has this kind of 80s robo feel that gets my foot tapping, and it has my SECOND favorite song on this thing, the MF CLOSING TRACK 'Adore' oh baby this one is for the keith sweat, baby making music fans.. Oooooh its a beautiful love song, a song you can dedicate to a lover. I absolutely adore this song. This is my first time digging deep into this album and it just reaffirms my love for Prince and my appreciation for him. He will forever be one of the greatest, and I would of loved to grow up in his era, and watch him in his prime.. alas, I have to settle for what we have on video. Long live Prince. Overall: 3.1/5
Until this album I never really gave Lorde the time of day if I'm being honest, and after digging into this thing yeah idk.. it had some songs that I did enjoy (mainly just 'The Louvre' if I'm being honest) other than that, maybe I would of enjoyed this album more when I was like 13 and young but.. just not my thing. I'm more of a fan of Ethel Cain or Cryomancer when it comes to new aged female singers, this is a bit too.. idk. Not really my style. Again, I did enjoy 'The Louvre' but other than that.. I wasn't really a fan of this album. Overall: 1.3/5
I actually really enjoyed this album, I put it on in the background while I was playing some video games, not really expecting to be the biggest fan of it, being some kind of early classic rock, but yeah I loved it. Honestly, the best song for me was the opening track.. 'Alone Again Or' it had such a great sound to it.. very egyptian almost.. Other than that, I didn't like obsess about any of the other songs on this thing but I did enjoy it.. it would bea great album to have a vinyl and throw on while I'm cleaning my house or something.. I'll probably pick it up someday for that exact reason. Overall: 2.4/5
Now this was a funky ass album that I was NOT ready for.. I saw the release year, and expected another "classic rock" kind of style band, but no way.. this band is fucking weird man, and I just adore them. More of a folk-rock feel to them, they feel very rural.. very like.. you'd hear them play at the town square in a small town in Norway. My favorite tracks on this thing have to be the opening track 'Light Flight' very very folky track, it floats along in such a unique way thats so catchy, you'll catch yourself singing along "ba ba ba-doo-ba, a thousand moons are about to die!". I really enjoyed 'Once I Had a Sweetheart' a beautiful almost renaissance feeling ballet about a lost love.. and once again, the next track was one of my favorites, 'Springtime Promises' just a great old folk song about spring coming into bloom and the promises a new year and new green can bring! 'Lyke-Wake Dirge' was a song that I originally did not like but it grew on me in time.. its just strange.. 'Train Song' has this great feeling of ditching town and all your responsibilities and being on a railcar in the early 70s, just a different time in life.. IM RUNNING AWAY! Man I just loved this album. 'Cold Mountain' reminded me of a vacation I just took with my girlfriend for my 30th birthday, to Floyd County.. It took me back to chopping wood, making fires, food on those fires. Also 'I Saw an Angel' is another GREAT track on this thing.. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tracks 'Hunting Song' and 'Sally Go Round the Roses' or 'The Cuckoo' but other than that, I actually really enjoyed this album. Overall: 3.3/5
I enjoyed this album a lot more than I thought I would. Its definitely classic rock at its finest, and the Eagles at one point were definitely one of the biggest classic rock bands so yeah I thought this would be snoozeville for me, but I definitley enjoyed their deep tracks a lot more than I thought I would and a lot more than their popular ones. I really enjoyed 'Wasted Time' and 'Victim of Love' on this thing. Least favorite track is probably 'Hotel California' honestly.. Overall: 3.1/5
I'll start by saying honestly I'd never heard of this band, but I went in with open arms and thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the sounds on this thing. This english alternative rock/glam rock band was a nice find, the vocals really gave big bowie vibes in a good way. My favorite songs on this thing were 'Heroin' 'The Wild Ones' and 'New Generation'. Theres so many good songs on this if you're into this english glamrock kinda vibe, even the closing track 'Whipsnade' is a jingle that got stuck in my head. I enjoyed this album as a whole a lot more than I expected to. I wasn't really in the mood to review an album yesterday, but I am very glad I just put this album on and gave Suede a chance because I found an old band I absolutely love. If you're a fan of The Smiths or The Cure, you'll probably like this album. Overall: 3.7/5
This was such a weird and interesting listen.. I won't say that I necessarily LOVED it, or that this thing is going to show up on my spotify wrapped playlist but.. a one time listen, throughout the whole thing was INTERESTING to say the least, and took me to a few places in my imagination/mind. My favorite songs on this thing were 'Maryan', 'A Sunday In Madrid' and 'The Whole Point Of No Return' all very interesting and somewhat catchy tracks for art rock. I thought I would hate this album, and once again in no way am I in LOVE with it.. but it was like watching a weird film, or reading an abstract book.. I found myself mulling over this album much longer after I listened to it, while I was cleaning I got lost in a meditative state thinking about the sounds I heard on this thing. I enjoyed listening to it. Overall: 2.3/5
I thought this album had a lot of interesting sounds on it, it felt almost like I was watching a performance while I was listening to it.. But I couldn't help but get the feeling this Rufus Wainwright might be a bit pretencious or full of himself lol. I still enjoyed this album as a whole, I loved the intro track 'Agnus Dei' and its probably my favorite track on this thing. I did feel that the later tracks on the album struggled a bit more than the opening half, but overall I enjoyed this piece as a whole. Overall: 2.0/5
I'll start by saying, for the longest time I was NOT a Pink Floyd fan.. I was into heavy music when I was young, on top of being straight edge psychedelic music never really stuck out to me BUT once I got older, I stopped claiming straight edge and I started experimenting and I remember listening to Pink Floyd while I took some mushrooms with a buddy of mine Mitch and that really showed me how amazing this band truly was.. Truly master musicians. NOW onto this album.. Nothing new but greatest honestly lol. The whole album has this great space atmosphere to it. I'd love to own this on vinyl one day. My favorite track on this brief, yet lengthy album is probably 'Wish You Were Here' obviously an amazing, very popular song.. but I also loved the opening track and the closing track, 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' parts 1-9. Overall: 3.9/5
A CLASSIC ALBUM! Growing up, my aunt LOVED Elton John, so that meant so did I and I remember listening to this album quite a bit growing up.. There are so many good songs on this album, and I don't want to go into hyper detail on this thing because its just overall such a great feeling album for me, it shares memories with my aunt who is no longer with me.. Some of my favorite tracks on this thing are 'Tiny Dancer', 'Razor Face', the track the albums named after 'Madman Across The Water' and 'Holiday Inn' to name a few.. Elton had such a great voice and was an incredible musician. Whenever I hear any of his music, I'll always think of my Aunt. God rest her soul. Overall: 3.4/5
Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of this album or this band. I think my favorite song on this album was 'I Want You' but in ways I also didn't like it.. I think its the lead singers vocals that I'm just not a giant fan of. I kind of was annoyed listening to this album, even though I see the potential here I just think these vocals are not for me. Overall: 1.3/5
I was never a giant Aerosmith fan but this album has a lot of their greatest hits on it and there are some great hits by them.. 'Walk This Way', 'Sweet Emotion', 'Round and Round' and 'You See Me Crying' are great songs. I can't say I love Aerosmith but I did like a lot of these songs. Overall: 2.6/5
Finally.. the first rap album I've gotten on this thing! and its one that I couldn't really get into.. I definitely appreciate this style of hip hop, a lot of old heads would say its the best and I recognize it for what it is but I just could never really get into the kinda boom-bap sounds. Its just not really my style but I know others would appreciate this and I know its a great album. Overall: 1.6/5
I went into this not expecting to like this band, but I actually loved them after the first two songs alone! I knew 'Come On Eileen' its a classic but I knew nothing else about Dexys Midnight Runners and now I love this band. My favorite song on the album has to be 'Tell Me When My Light Turns Green' Overall: 3.2/5
Man let me start by saying I absolutely LOVED this album.. In no way shape or form was I ready or expecting THIS! These DJs have these funky mashes that just remind me of something like Pogo.. I have been listening to this on repeat since I started it! My favorite tracks on this thing are 'Since I Left You', 'Two Hearts In 3/4 Time', and 'Close To You' to just name a few.. I had some songs I didn't love on this thing, like 'Flight Tonight' but overall I loved this thing. Overall 4.1/5
I wasn't a Prince fan when I was younger but as I've gotten older, the more I've dug into his discography, the more I've become a fan of his music regardless of what anyone says of his personality. Purple Rain is an amaizng album, the opening track being one of my favorite tracks 'Lets Go Crazy' just has this AMAZING energy I just love. Very 90s. Now this wasn't a perfect album to me.. 'Take Me With You' 'Computer Blue' and 'Darling Nikki' weren't my favorite songs, but of course 'Purple Rain' is a cult classic and an amazing song, 'I Would Die 4 U' is a song I found a few years back and have loved since, and 'When Doves Cry' is another one of his BIG hits thats just a big hit for a reason. I didn't know 'Baby I'm A Star' but I actually liked this eratic crazy track. Yeah, another album as a whole that I just loved from Prince. He really is just a crazy pop rockstar. His energy, his vocals, his talent with different musical instruments and just as an artist in general is just unmatched. He was who he was for a reason. One of the kings. Overall: 3.4/5
This album was strange for me because like.. Some of it, I'd kind of enjoy.. but then some of it just sounded like pandering country/rock music for like cliche rednecks I don't know how to explain it. Not my album. I liked the opening track but not much more from this thing other than that.. I just found it very repetitive in the choruses and it felt like it was designed to be sung along to at concerts for normal country music listeners. Overall: 1.3/5
I was very surprised listening to this album.. I was not ready for something like this, but I loved it. I could see myself slow dancing to this with my girlfriend, or a soundtrack to a nice evening out, or even on vinyl while I'm cleaning or cooking on a rainy sunday afternoon. It almost gave me cranberries vibes and I think thats why I liked it so much. My favorite songs 'Oxford Street' and 'I Was Always Your Girl'. I'm sure it was around the same time Dolores was coming up. Anyways, big fan of this album. Overall: 3.6/5
Honestly, people say the Beatles are overrated and they kind of are BUT they are also very sick.. the opening on this track (also the track the album is named after) 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' but like John Lennon is screaming on that track its fucking sick. Its weird because this album is really sick if you're into psychedelics and are doing them, but like.. if you're not, I can see how this can be seen as "overrated". My favorite song is 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' Overall: 2.8/5
I really really did not like this album.. Immediately from the start I knew from just the sound on this thing alone that this was not an album for me. I don't want to like rip an album apart because art is art, and its subjective to each and ultimately I just respect any form of art for being itself so I'll just leave it at a low rating for me personally. Overall: 1.2/5
