Third
Soft Machinenow this is the kinda weird shit i am looking for drone, jazz, rock, electronic. only thing i'm not into is the vocals on track 3
now this is the kinda weird shit i am looking for drone, jazz, rock, electronic. only thing i'm not into is the vocals on track 3
comically 80s. goes between disney movie soundtrack and musical 'Sledgehammer' is the least boring song on the album and it's kinda dull too.
combines some of my most hated song mechanics (cool instrumental that stops for the vocals) and one of my favourites (short moments of complete silence) fantastic relaxed female vocals the high pitched echoey electric guitar definitely gets on my nerves and seems to be all over the album. yikes same thing with the high pitched synth favourite song: 'As Heaven Is Wide'
fairly boring soul instrumental with some extremely impressive vocals. very outdated lyrics occasionally also don't end every line with 'now' please favourite song: '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction Rolling Stones cover
the problem with genre defining albums is that it becomes the average of all following music that apes it. the result is that i find this album boring despite how much stuff *should* interest me. the exception is the bassline on 'Thug' and also 'If I Could Only Flag Her Down'
good jazz has the ability to interest and bore me at the same time. impressive playing on several instruments at once blurring together to become nothing at all. only real exception on the entire album for me is the 2nd half of 'Miles Runs the Voodoo Down' which funnily enough sounds like it doesn't have Miles playing for a long while? maybe i just don't like trumpet
the harder songs are way better than the gentle ones. 'Mr. Self Destruct' and 'Big Man With A Gun' being my favourites. 'Reptile' is also great. shocked that 'Closer' is the most popular song on the album being my least favourite. also hearing the original 'Hurt' after Johnny Cash's cover lol. wtf is that instrumental?
would be a 5/5 as instrumentals only
starts off VERY slow and gets better as the album goes on. the last few songs are S tier and the final semi-experimental instrumental track is fantastic. album saved and will be listened to again
great guitar, great vocals (both the clean on the whole album and the rougher vocals on maggie m'gill), great bass, decent melodica. all other instruments were excessively repeditive and unbalanced. the electric piano on ship of fools and land ho! becomes physically painful to listen to. despite this ship of fools ended up being one of my favourites. favourites: ship of fools and maggie m'gill
the first half of the album he talk-sings like he doesn't want to be there. only 2 good songs: all thoughts are prey to some beast, and faith/void
if the beatles made good music
just what you'd expect from uk alt rock / alt punk of the era. vocals overly whingy sometimes decentish lyrics
music for swapping partners
kinda boring rock-n-roll
good album with some amazing songs.
mixed better than the morrison hotel, otherwise identical to that album. except for 'break on through'. couldn't tell any other song apart on the entire album
mr. brightside and somebody told me are amazing, as we all knew. all the other tracks are kinda eh.
i feel like i should like them more than i do, but i don't :(
brilliant punk rock. first song felt a bit repeditive though.
except for the one song the album is named after it's boring AF
not interested in old-school hiphop. a lot of the lyrics are just bad. i won't complain about getting some Ice Cube though
not very interesting and with stupid lyrics
very generic-sounding. at least the band gets a mood going i am just not interested in listening to yet another rock band with sighing bored vocals
kinda boring rock
cool idea with a fairly mediocre execution. some of the lyrics were funny at least
so bored
brilliant. saved. will be listened to again
god this shit is boring bullet the blue sky is alright i guess actually it dragged on way too long. the first half of bullet the blue sky is good.
cowboy music for boring people
cowboy music for boring people, but this time with some rock elements
the jazzier elements were cool. otherwise it was just mostly bland. got through the first hour / disk then got bored
sometimes does some jazzier / experimental instrumentals that i really appreciate and then quickly quits for some reason. Riddle of the Eighties being the clearest example. otherwise it's a pretty good rocky album with neat vocals
don't you WANT somebody to love, don't you NEED somebody to love?
chill funk neutral
amazing. love it. album saved, and will be listened to again.
i just really really dislike christmas music i also didn't listen to more than like 2 minutes
fun songs but I just can't stand those vocals
eh. boring, but in a kinda relaxing way? nothing i'd listen to but not the worst of its kind
now this is the kinda weird shit i am looking for drone, jazz, rock, electronic. only thing i'm not into is the vocals on track 3
i am nothing but bored. only gets a 2 because it didn't make me physically recoil
neat music with some cool instruments and good vocals.
no thanks
neat chill rock. not something i'll listen to again but neat.
an album of songs that will inevitably be chopped up for rap beats, and be better for it
i have no idea. i can't remember any of the songs, and listening back to them again i can't tell you what i feel about them. they exist.
too weird to be ignored and left in the background, too repeditive to listen actively to. physically painful
forgettable rock
amazing basslines, brilliant beats, forgettable-to-awful leads, garbage lyrics. meow meow meow
most instrumental parts are S-tier but i just don't like the vocals. The Sprawl (after the vocals are over) and Providence are my favourite tracks
seeing how much good dolly parton has done for the world, and hearing just how good she is at singing, i feel that i want to enjoy her music more but i am just bored. the emotional lyrics don't affect me at all, but at least i can smile at the comedy lyrics.
pretty cool. nothing i'd listen to but cool
i am not listening to 2.5h of an album i'm not interested in. track 10 was alright. would be better without the vocals though.
not a big fan to start off, but by song 4 i was hooked. album saved and will be listened to again FREE MONEY
listening to this I understand the hype surrounding bob dylan. not sure if ill listen to it more or not but it good
almost interesting
the first 3 or 4 songs are good, then it goes downhill fast
nice. saved, will be listened to again
neat punk with some great variation. saved.
i got maybe 3 minutes into this 90 minute album before i died. a tumor grew on my brain so quickly i died on the spot. unironic hillbilly rock with no fun aspects.
i liked it but probably won't listen to it again.
wow does the first song not land well anymore. if it ever did. the rest of the songs probably suffer greatly on being on a concept album trying to be stereotypically southern. this guy probably can write decent lyrics even though none of these hit
great vocals, good if a bit repeditive ocassionally instrumentals. Not What You Want saved, rest of the album gets to rest
not a fan of oldschool hiphop
deserve the hype they got, just not my style
got about halfway through, bored
awful
i don't like metallica at all. the orchestral stuff is cool when it works though.
lady of the island saved, rest kinda boring tbh
aretha franklin is a fantastic vocalist but it's nothing i'm gonna listen to again
more music that is now boring because everyone copied them. also i don't like the vocals
no thanks
songs ranging from charming folk music to irritating folk music and acapella.
worse than the previous bob dylan album we listened to
nice and chill, but im just not a huge fan of the vocals
kinda boring tbh
"i want you" saved. rest were boring.
