Surrealistic Pillow
Jefferson Airplanevery 60s psychedelic. an absolute classic. Thoroughly enjoyed but not a gym album for sure
very 60s psychedelic. an absolute classic. Thoroughly enjoyed but not a gym album for sure
as a huge pixies and nirvana fan, I love this album. it is grassroots grunge, with the same feel and emotion, but a bit more experimental and almost 60s sounding at points.
very much a poppy feel but a very consistent album the whole way through. filled with classics and you can’t complain about bruce springsteen, he’s a tried and tested artist. maybe not my favorite springsteen album but definetely one of the best and well worth listening to.
kinda meh. nothing about it really stood out to me that much. definetely not my style
thoroughly enjoyed this album, a very diverse sound with some great songs sprinkled in. this guy is a good song writer and has a great voice
I’ve never really been a punk rock fan and this album is no exception. Nothing about it really impressed me, not the writing, playing or singing. sure it had its moments but I don’t think i’ll ever listen to it again.
not normally a big 60s rock fan but this wasn’t terrible. 3/5
i’m familiar with the clash of course but I’ve never listened to their self-titled debut until now. I really enjoyed this album and you can really hear the conviction in the bands sound, a sign of the things to come from these guys.
again, not the biggest fan of 60s in general but I enjoyed the orchestral sound of this album quite a lot. the constant layering of vocal harmonies throughout the album was an enjoyable element however the overall pace of the album was still a bit too 60ish for my liking.
I don’t enjoy a lot of hip hop but this is exactly the kind I do enjoy. Old school kinda sound, reminds me of Rum Committee a bit. good album will definetely listen again.
this doesn’t deserve to be on this list. literally nothing special
avg punk rock
Really enjoyed this. Kind of reminded me of the smiths at points. will be listening again for sure
Cool old drum and bass, did enjoy. Probably won't listen again though, the songs are all way too long and a bit repetitive. Would make a great background album for doing work or something
What a voice! Really enjoyed the horn section too
I really enjoyed the sound that this album created. This shit had me boogieing in the kitchen
Yeah influential album whatever. girl from impanena is pretty good, rest is meh i did not enjoy
nothing special but enjoyable
again not a huge 60s lover but this gets a 3 for the opening tracj
Really enjoyed. Was not expecting this americana country esque sound but it was a welcome one.
I LOVE THE FLAMING LIPS
This album makes me feel like i’m listening to GTA V rock radio.
I really enjoyed the sound that this album created. Sort of melancholic and existential. Would listen again.
wasn’t expecting this soulful of a voice from the lady on the album cover. mostly forgettable tracks though
enjoyable but forgettable mostly
great bluesy late 60s album. proud mary definetely a highlight but a lot of strong tracks. strong instrumentals and vocals
got nothing out of this. the drugs rlly got to him on this one
great vibe. silver soul makes me wanna give it a 4 but i don’t think I can.
average 60s album. why listen to this when the beatles exist.
The best vocal performance i’ve heard so far on 1001 hands down. ‘Lilac Wine’ and ‘What more can I say?’ are the standouts for me for sure. Even the backing band is quite good as well.
another great vocal performance. The big band vibe and slowness meant all the tracks sounded a bit samey to me
This album is a testament to radiohead’s musical diversity and ability. after releasing two of the greatest alt rock albums ever, they decided to completely change their sound, and still released one of the greatest albums of the decade, and went on to remain influential. 5 for how impressive that is
above average rock and roll. sounds inspired though
I DONT WANT TO LISTEN TO ANY MORE CONGOS
High quality songwriting, singing and guitar playing. every song feels unique with a good mix of folk and rock.
this album opened as a 5, but soon became a bit too beach boysey and experimental to stay that way. but still a very good album
ya like jazz?
to be fair to adele this album is good and produced a ridiculous amount of hits but it’s just mediocre pop in my opinion
mediocre folk with some EXTREMELY long songs, way too long. cool that this is the girl that sung on the battle of evermore (+1)
meh, too disorganised
This album is peak dream pop. Literal perfection from beginning to end and the album that began a long obsession with dream pop and shoegaze for me. If you can’t enjoy this album there’s something wrong with you.
