You Want It Darker
Leonard CohenWow. Cohen's voice is haunting. This gives me chills. What a beautiful way to deal with pain and say good bye to the world.

Generally enjoyable. Between a 3 and 4 for me.
Haha I do enjoy me some cowbell
I didn't think I was liking this one until I gradually realized that I did. Gentle and relaxing. Again, hard to decide how many stars
Didn't love it, didn't hate it. I really like This Mess We're In. None of the songs sound alike, which is refreshing after some of the recent albums.
Lots of talent on here, makes even metal listenable. A couple of songs that are part of American culture.
delightful
The world wouldn't be the same without it, although I have to think that Revolution 9 is the Beatles thinking they have such god status that people will just listen to any old noise they happen to make haha
Good stuff
I don't get it. Am I missing something? This is an album I needed to listen to before I die?
I started this album excited, thinking it was going to be a fun one, but I just didn't find it to be very entertaining
This was a brilliant concept, something super cool that I didn't know existed. I loved the symphony and Metallica together and it was interesting and impressive to hear how well it works. I am happy to be introduced to this. Sadly, it still wasn't enough for me to enjoy sitting through TWO HOURS AND THIRTEEN MINUTES of this live, heavy metal album.
I saw Fleetwood Mac come up and was immediately excited. Then I started listening and thought, maybe these songs are too tired and dated, maybe not as good as I thought, overused. But then I got to the end and said , "I need to listen to this again. Right now"
Meh. There is certainly talent here, but I don't like the albums composition. It feels like a sampler, going in some weird directions. And IMO Hendrix does this style of blues better.
A big dose of the 1980's! Fun stuff. I was sure I was going to give this one a solid 4 stars, but then Cindi lost me a little towards the middle/end. She finished it off with some good fun though, so...
groooooohvvy I'm right there in the smoke filled room and thinking about slipping the bass player my number
I am happy to be exposed to this album. It is something that I would never have come across if not for this album generator. Tim Buckley has an amazing voice and interesting arrangements, the lyrics seem poetic. I liked the first half of the album more than the second. While I appreciated hearing this, I didn't particularly care for it. I planned to rate at 3 stars, but the final few songs just didn't appeal to me.
I expected to like this more, I'm barely able to give it a three
This is a refreshing break from the amount of classic rock albums lately. I'm excited to be introduced to something completely different. Maybe that is causing an unfair bias, but I can't resist giving this one a five. Woohoo! being forced to listen to music just got fun again
the only song I would listen to on here is Hallelujah whenever a song came on and I thought, OK, maybe I like this one, Buckley would do something in the song that made me cringe no thank you
I kinda hate having to rate all these albums. I end up agonizing over the stars on so many of them. Even if strictly considering "personal preference", there are just too many factors: what mood I'm in, what time of day it is when I listen, how hectic or calm my day happens to be, which albums I've already had earlier in the week, how familiar or unfamiliar the album is... Today, I am giving this one a three. A different day, I think I would likely give it a four. A different month or year, it is possible that I could even give it a five
Dreary. But works with the right mood
eeeeeeh, I do NOT like this cover art. It almost caused a jump-scare when I opened the new album for today. What is with the creepy glowing white teeth and eyes?? And such a (unironic) pervy vibe. ew While this album has a mildly pleasant nostalgic feel, I have the impression that this is where the next 20 (plus or minus) years of awful "girl singer" pop music has its roots. I have to think that is what made the radio un-listenable and broke pop music in America. I might give this two stars, but I'm going for a one because of the paedo undertones, the faky-ness, and the bad precedent

Sorry Lisa, I really don't care for or understand this kind of music. It just sounds like discord to my ears.
I do really like some of the songs on here, but I wouldn't care to listen to the whole album again. Another reviewer commented that this album was perfect for driving on the open road/back roads. I completely agree that it is well suited to a country drive.
Very pleasant for nighttime sick crocheting. So so relieved that I didn't get Deep Purple or Korn tonight
