Power In Numbers
Jurassic 5I hope the have Tony Hawk’s Underground in Italy
I hope the have Tony Hawk’s Underground in Italy
Will probably throw this into the night time sleep rotation
“You shouldn’t let poets lie to you”
Funky
Pretty good, as far as I can tell
A hell of a singer
“Harris, what’s your favorite U2 record?” “Pinkerton by Weezer” I’m not U2 fan, but I guess this is alright. Turns out I’ve heard a good chunk of these songs before, which shouldn’t be too surprising given how big this album was. After the first listen, “In God’s Country” is probably the standout.
I’m old, but I don’t think I’m “I appreciate jazz” years old yet. Three stars just because I don’t know how what to make of it one way or the other.
It’s really gotten under my skin in a good way
I like how menacing the first half of this thing is. The rest is considerably more upbeat. One Very Important seems especially prescient today. All in all, this seems like itd be good for studying and/or committing petty crimes -The whole breadth of the human experience.
A mixed bag. Some of it is fun, some of it sounds like someone is trying to sell me a car. Also, including comps and greatest hits collections in album lists is kinda lame.
Ska in denial
Going from from Bohemian Rhapsody to an old standard like God Save the Queen is among the biggest flexes in rock and roll history
Yeah, alright
Among the best of its kind
Duh
Chill. The cowboy equivalent of driving around at night while it’s raining.
The albums that follow set a very high bar, but still a strong debut. Stephen Malkmus is among the most consistent songwriters in indie rock.
I think I like the instrumental parts more than anything here with lyrics
I liked it much more than the Dave Brubeck album
Kinda fun I guess
Wall to wall bops
Sure
Not bad. I think the melodies don’t really live up to the rest of the songwriting
I hope the have Tony Hawk’s Underground in Italy
Good! I like that it splits the funkier stuff on the first half and the slower stuff on the second.
Chill
These albums sound so weird in stereo
I am going to have my chance
I like some of the more industrial sounding effects, but it doesn’t do much for me otherwise
Good jangly pop songs. Bonus points for inspiring this song: https://youtu.be/vlryei9U3sg?si=GwlFz9Dg-j6EX1se
I don’t think I’ve listened to this since high school. I mostly remembered the beeps and boops, but there are some good rock songs here as well.
A few good grooves, but mostly kinda middling otherwise
Fun
Totally listenable, but not all that interesting
Jazz
I like the melancholic vibe
Would fall asleep to again
Rock’s obviously come a long way, but this is still fun.
One of their best
Feels like it’d be a good fall/winter album
Hell yeah
