1001 Albums Summary

Honestly, it's not a genre that I ever gravitate towards. Yes, "Jump" is a classic and I kinda like the beginning of "Top Jimmy", but that's it. Nothing else stands out for me.

There's no way around it, if you want to enjoy this record you're going to have to separate the artist from the art. With that it mind, this record is an absolute masterpiece. You got Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean and Human Nature... Banger after banger.

Outside "Riders on the Storm" nothing really stands out for me.

I know Nick Cave is highly revered, but this is my first time listening to one of his albums and it did nothing for me. Honestly, it sounded pretty boring.

Easily one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. Loved it when it came out, love it now. "Ready or Not", "Zealots", "Fu-Gee-La", "The Score" and even "Killing me softly" which was never a favorite of mine, all are amazing songs. Even if you don't like the genre, give it a try. You will find some amazing samples in there.
