Hybrid Theory
Linkin ParkGlad it's only 37 minutes long. But even then still couldn't get through it. Sure, some ok songs. But his voice doesn't do anything for me. No thanks.

An unprecedented A+++ love love love
Such a beautiful and perfect album. Excellent start.
So crunchy. Great album.
Meh. This didn't really boil my potatoes. It's fine. Just... fine. Some songs hit different but mainly... No.
I literally just bought this baby girl on vinyl. Love it. Lot more noodling than I remember but has some of my fave Beastie songs so we're good.
Good background music. Not sure I'd seek it out but weirdly this was maybe the first time I ever heard them? Even though they're so famous. Outside of Anchorman or karaoke. It's ok.
Surprisingly had not listened to this in full. Bangers from one of entertainment's biggest monsters.
Honestly it was on in the background during manual work and I didn't really give a shit to hear it. Not my cuppa.

Full of hits. Sounds like high school. Not too shabby.
Surprised me with how cosy it felt. Probably because I love Beastie Boys and now I'm hearing where they got... A lot... From...😬 Some real stinkers though. Dumb Girl is one of the stupidest songs I've ever heard.
Nope
The Beth Hirsch songs! So beautiful. But they're not all winners. Not especially compelling or more than background noise. I did skip Kelly Watch the Stars as it wasn’t working for me.
My favourite guitarist’s favourite band. Enjoyable. Though it was only on in the background.
Pleasant but not for me
Banger after banger
Pleasant.
At first I was like... Oh hell no... Then as it kept playing... I felt so fancy! Like I was at a cocktail party with Homer Simpson. Or trapped in a loft with Mr Big. Less fancy. Songs very long. I did get a little sick of it...
Oh God... I hate this. Sounds like Milli Vanilli but much much worse. And that's their voice. So no excuse.
It's so beautiful.
Ain't nothing wrong with the Cure!
Eh
An unprecedented A+++ love love love
Elvis is a bloody delight
Was ok but I fell asleep listening to it. That may be more about me than Alice.
Eh
This album was one I grew up with. My parents listened to it together when they were dating some 50-odd years back so we had two copies of it. My primary school teacher, Mr Woods, used to get us to sing the Boxer during music class. He changed the words. Up until I was about 40 I thought he was getting come ons from the "wars" on 7th Avenue. Never made sense at the time. When I realised... Last year as my father passed away, Bridge Over Troubled Water was the song that was playing as he took his last breath. I can't say anything bad about the album. It's too prominent an album in my life.
Admittedly pretty iconic.
Like when you're tired and think a sleep playlist on Spotify might work. Very mild. Too long of an album to actually commit to sitting through it.
Remember when Sylvester Stallone sang Tutti Fruitti in Rhinestone? Great movie.
Enjoyed it immensely. Some songs more than others by a lot though. Overall more good than bad. Some over-noodling got tiresome. Would have given a half star extra if I could.
They know they're not harmonising in tune right? Feels a lot earlier than 1999 which I guess makes this feel a little.... Stale. Sounds like a high school band who got to record a demo as part of a competition. No bueno.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. So many bangers! But the version that'll remain to be my favourite is still Nelson Muntz. I am iron man. Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo vote for me.
Overall pretty enjoyable. Couple of sucky songs but hard to find albums without sometimes.
I think I'm a traitor to my generation as I have never cared for sonic youth. 🤷🏻♀️
I was gonna give it some props for sounding ahead of its time. But then I realised I misread the year and it's 1993 not 1983. So... I didn't really have anything positive to say....it's very easy to ignore?
Liked a lot of it but it was a lot to consume in one sitting. And some songs sound like flight of the concord parodies.
