This album was a really enjoyable listen!! Mgmt's debut, Oracular Spectacular, that was intended as an attempt of mockery on modern pop music but ironically ended up creating 3 of the most popular dance tunes of 2008. The themes throughout the album stayed focused on youth, growing up, rebellion, and how it felt for their childish dreams of fame and fortune to come true as adults. Overall this album made me feel very pumped and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to discovery it, although it did disappoint me to hear that mgmt didn't particularly love the album themselves.

Who's Next by The Who

All i can say is i think townsend was right, this album wouldve been better as a rock operatic. Behind blue eyes is the only song that I found really good. Although there were sections that I enjoyed throughout the rest of the album, I couldn't see myself coming back to any of the other songs anytime soon. The main reason being that I didn't love the lyrics or vocals in many sections. Therefore this is not my favourite album, but I can see why it is enjoyable for others.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan

IT FUCKING OPENS WITH LIKE A ROLLING STONE. Automatic 3 before I even hear the rest I fear. Okk I liked a lot of these songs, they are nice to listen to and controversial as it is I quite like listening to bob singing. Therefore I think I definitely would listen to this album in future. It is both good for background noise because of the familiar nice folk acoustic guitar playing but also great to listen to critically while reading the lyrics and analysing the deeper meanings and politics that is no doubt present. I think it might be a 4? I fear I'm being too lenient in these ratings...

Great. Loved it. Perfect for studying to. I wanna listen to more of this. Long songs without lyrics. Just some beautiful jazz compositions and improvisations :)))

I really really liked this!! I didn't get much chance to listen to it all but everything I heard I loved. There was even a song on it that I'd already been listening to 'here comes your man'. Definitely gonna reach for this album in the future

Pretty cool, some songs sounded good but some sounded very similar. To an extent I really liked the talking and voice recordings but some of them went on a bit too long. Mught have to listen again to decide for sure how I feel
