1001 Albums Summary

Amazing first album of 10001! A classic and one that brings me back to childhood. Thanks Dad for the early music education <3

i love this album from him but it’s no stardust.

prefer other smith albums but of course love “i want the one i can’t have”

i liked this album but it was honestly a little too dark for me. cohen’s gravelly voice really lent itself to the subject matter, it’s extremely poetic that he died just a few weeks after the album was released. rip leonard cohen, you absolute legend.

i can appreciate it for what it is and what it probably did for country music, but this one just ain’t for me. 1/5 only because it made 28 minutes feel like a long time. sorry george jones :(

This album is so so cool, I've never listened to this one from Herbie Hancock, I'm only 5 min in to the first song and I'm so into it. 5/5

i like this a lot, it’s probably not my favorite bjork album but i love the concept and reading into the process of how she made it and her intention behind it of trying to return to the way she used to live prior to her fame. 4/5

i had never heard of this album or david holmes before - WOW i will be listening again and again!! 5/5, so grimy and groovy and i love the spoken samples. just learned that he did the oceans 11 soundtrack which makes sense

it's so mediocre i don't even think i can finish it. 1/5

loved the sound, but the rampant misogyny was pretty hard to ignore. 3/5

loved it, i love jeff buckley so it's amazing to hear his father's music. his voice sounds so angelic, so much like jeff's - so beautiful! 4/5
