i liked this album but it was honestly a little too dark for me. cohen’s gravelly voice really lent itself to the subject matter, it’s extremely poetic that he died just a few weeks after the album was released. rip leonard cohen, you absolute legend.

i can appreciate it for what it is and what it probably did for country music, but this one just ain’t for me. 1/5 only because it made 28 minutes feel like a long time. sorry george jones :(
This album is so so cool, I've never listened to this one from Herbie Hancock, I'm only 5 min in to the first song and I'm so into it. 5/5

i had never heard of this album or david holmes before - WOW i will be listening again and again!! 5/5, so grimy and groovy and i love the spoken samples. just learned that he did the oceans 11 soundtrack which makes sense
