Gorillaz
Gorillaza lot better than i thought it would be. most of the trip hop stuff is great and the dub stuff is good too. it gets a little weaker towards the end but that’s bound to happen with such a long tracklist

enjoyed this a lot dk how i haven’t heard any prog soul before. second song is the best the monologue in the last song was kinda annoying but the rest was great

my favorite classic rock album. can’t you hear me knocking, wild horses, and brown sugar are the standouts, but the entire album is good. the cover of you better move is pretty weak but oh well it’s blues rock.
abattoir blues was solid. the songs are all good but nothing really stands out. i like the gospel aspects more than i expected to tho. it’s been great background music for rym exploring while i should be studying in my micro class. i’ll listen to the lyre of orpheus during lunch ig. listening to orpheus rn and i just had to comment on how much i fucking hate the hey ho bullshit. ik this album was released before saying hey ho in a song got really popular and really fucking annoying but i still don’t like it. the two previous songs were great tho and spell is great so far. pretty much finished. i enjoyed the lyre of orpheus much more than abattoir blues. the majority of songs on the second record are more ballad oriented but they all caught my ear. overall pretty solid album enjoyed it more than expected
just finished speakerboxxx really great album I enjoyed all but like one song, which wasn't even that bad fr. now I gotta wait like an hour to listen to the love below I cant listen to an album with one earbud. haven’t even finished the love below yet but holy shit what an album. speakerboxxx is nothing to overlook but the love below is just so amazing. sir 3k explores a few different genres throughout the second side and executed them all masterfully. there’s basically no misses. amazing album
pleasantly surprised by this album. i like the blues but it’s never my top choice of genre so i thought this wouldn’t be spectacular. i listened to it in one earbud while playing softball so i wasn’t paying attention but the songs kept catching my ear i lowkey regret not waiting and listening to this later.
i listened to this like last week so i’m not gonna bother but i love the album regardless. the fuzz penetrates the brain and fills it with beautiful fuzzy mildly abrasive guitar noise. i do like the vocals as well. all in all legendary amazing album it also pioneered shoegaze which is one of my favorite genres so i love that ofc
ig this will be my bus to grad night album. it’s about time i listened to this shit ig. see ya tomorrow. hello me it’s you from tomorrow. i’ve always been a slight beatles hater and i stand by the fact that they’re overrated but this album is pretty solid. i mean i’d hope so it’s very acclaimed. i’m not a big pop rock guy but this album is nice i enjoyed it for the most part.
i’ve got a few records by this guys dad but i’ve never listened to them and i’ve never heard of rufus so i went into this kinda blind. i thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing this typa pop is top tier. the lyrics kinda confused me at points cause he was really just saying shit but i didn’t really mind
dont get me wrong this is a great album i just cant sit through a cool jazz album rn. dont get me wrong its great but ive listened to it before and maybe one day ill listen to it again. ill give it 3 stars cause i remember it being good
better than i expected it to be. actually enjoyed a lot of the songs
Very boring album. there's like 2 or 3 good ballads and the French song was some surprisingly good art rock but other than that theres nothing really worth listening to.
damn I forgot to save my notes whatever this was some real wonky house goodness that's all I really have to say
great music i will one hundred percent be checking out more afrobeat eventually. apparently his father is good so ig ill check him out.
i feel like i say this about every damn album but this was much better than expected. i stopped paying attention in the middle tho. only prob with this album is it’s forgettable and there’s not many standout songs but other than that solid listening experience.
it’s pretty good. there were standouts ofc but the album didn’t do all that much for me. maybe itll change if i listen again idk
i came into this album with very low expectations. i have a big problem with judging books by their covers, and this cover is pretty stupid, so i wasnt expecting much. i was quite surprised with how much i enjoyed this album. the final track is currently soothing the hell out of my ears its pretty nice.
oh my goodness oh my god im gonna bust. amazing album very important for me i could talk in depth about the songs but im lazy heaven las vegas very amazing frou foxes very amazing and the rest of them too. anyway here's something i wrote for my shitty rym listening log: this was a very important album in the development of my taste, its where i first got hooked on the taste of that sweet dreamy etherealness provided by dream pop and shoegazers. i dont remember how i discovered shoegaze but the first artist in my shoegaze playlist is wisp so it was probably from tiktok. when i first discovered shoegaze i listened to a bunch of tiktok shoegazers, random songs from the spotify shoegaze playlist, and catherine wheel of all bands. the cocteau twins dont make shoegaze at all but they got me back into dreamy music and theres a lot of dreamy shoegaze out there so it counts. anyway heaven or las vegas was my favorite song for a bit but frou foxes takes a close second. modern me again. that was shitty but idc i love this music so much
bout time i listened to this. tomorrow ofc. great album. its not completely shoegaze its more of an alt rock with shoegaze guitar type deal or even just noise pop really. either way its very good. would've been one of my favorite albums if I listened to it 3 years ago.
its ight. most of the songs are good but the majority sound the same. no new territory being explored or anything. not unenjoyable tho its a pretty nice album just basic for my current tastes. that sounds pretentious as hell but whatever its true.
2 or 3 good songs, nothing super special really. album caught me in a bad mood unfortunately
2nd album in a row to catch me in the wrong mood. I'd enjoy this more if I was energetic but glam really isn't my thing. a few of the tracks were actually really good tho. I will have to give this a listen again sometime in the future
first side sucked but the second side was much better. would’ve got 1 star without it
lovely album. songs 2-4 had me so ready to give this album a five but not every song on here is bonafide best of the best. thats not to say they're bad by any means i made a soul playlist just to put some of these songs somewhere. wonderful
i was not expecting this to be so good. genuinely enjoyed this a ton
very strange very nice. I don't get the hate for revelation
very good. didnt have high hopes cause the only fall song ive listened to is totally wired which is ass but this album surprised me. a lot of people seem to be hating on the vocals of mark e but i dont mind them at all. maybe im weird
very good, not revolutionary ofc but very enjoyable
classic rock isn’t my genre of choice but i have no idea how i never listened to this when it was. i was missing out. even now this is great. I was low-key half asleep for some of it but man I forgot how good good ol classic rock can be
great album, love all the bluesy stuff. wasn’t aware of their plagiarism until today but i genuinely give zero fucks
liked it. not much else to say
this is probably the holy grail for a big fan of radio pop. thank god I'm not the target demographic. the songs are all pleasant but they also all sound the same so yk
man this shit is hard. this album is 1000% top 10 hip hop ever, maybe even 5. I might be blowing it out of proportion but that doesn't change the fact that this album is amazing. the lyrics are meh cause its gangsta rap and it means nothing but the production is just top tier. I mean its Dre I expect no less. His flow is also tuff as hell on some of these songs. great stuff all around, real hot shit
i’ve never been super big on plain old singer songwriter stuff but it’s hard not to enjoy some good old leonard cohen. i would like it more if i could pay attention to the lyrics without spacing out
hit me hard as hell on a rough day. beautiful amazing
didn’t think i would like dylan but this was some pretty good stuff. got bored near the end cause it got a lil old but the last song is great
listened to this like last week great record. not my first sonic youth maybe the second i don’t remember but kool thing really got me into their music more. that and disconnection notice but that’s a dif album
trying to get back on the saddle didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as i did. good stuff lenny
layla is an incredible song ofc but the rest of the album ain’t too bad. there’s some filler here and there cause i mean it’s like an hour 15 but the fuller ain’t awful. all in all good album but i don’t regret not listening to it till now
