My first rock album I've listened to. Pretty good, nothing crazy. I don't really like the high-pitched vocals, but the instrumentals are godly.
some tracks have really muffled vocals, kinda hard to discern what they are saying.
really nice instrumentals.
lots of long interludes (at least that's what I think they are), with no vocals, just instrumentals. some are good, like ricky's theme, but others kinda feel like filler for the album
Sad album. I like the stories it tells. 8.7/10
Had high hopes after listening to nebraska, but this album was js kinda meh.
kinda felt unfinished, mixed up. few songs were actually good, but most were bleh. Not bad, just I didn't really like the sound yet I could see what they were trying to do. 7.73/10
Classic jazz album. Didn't really listen listen to it, but it was aight.
nice live album. i like the story he tells as he sings. i should listen to more similar live albums
nice guitar album. i cant decide whether i like his voice or not
really good rock album. there's definitely a story here but im not sure what
loving the instrumentals as always
MY GOAT KANYE.
good rock/country album; nothing of note except for the fact that the most popular song (free bird), was, in my opinion, one of the worst songs. 8/10
dirty rock album. first song is kinda meh, but sets the story, and the rest is a variety, in a good way.
Fun little rock album. Comedic lyrics mixed with chill rock instrumentals make this a great record. Sometimes, the vocals can be a bit too brash, and there are points where the music sounds bland and uninteresting, but still a great little album.
Title track kinda long.
Sexy boy chorus kinda sucks
good but kinda bland instrumentals, wasn’t what I was expecting, dunno if that’s good or bad
the tone of the music switches a lot
With what I think is a lisp, Kool Keith lays down strange and sci-fi bars over old-school beats. The narrative follows what I think is a doctor who has very unorthodox and bizarre treatments, and bizarre is the perfect way to describe Kool Keith's way of going about things. The album's shocking charm starts to die down at the halfway mark, the point where I just wanted to get the album over with. This album isn't my cup of tea, but I can definitely get its appeal.
I think i'd enjoy rock more if the vocals weren't so raspy, longer songs are better even though I usually dont like long songs, nothing else to say
raspy voice but i like it, songs are kinda corny, keeps repeating the title of the song and i don't like it, no variety in tone between songs, overrated
lot’s of new concepts in this album that were previously unheard of, this album was very experimental, didn’t expect to like the album this much, quality of music starts to degrade a bit at the second half, but comes back to life at the end of jig of life, i think that’s where i began to ascend, i love the concept of this album
I don't get the praise for this album. It's not bad, by any means, it's just decent and meh. Nothing much to say about it.
