The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
May 20 2025

Grew on me on 2nd & 3rd listen

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
May 21 2025

A bit one dimensional but a few catchy songs. Interesting to see how this likely influenced even modern artists.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
May 22 2025

I liked this more than expected. I thought the theatrical nature would wear thin but the choruses are undeniably catchy on most songs

Hotel California by Eagles
May 23 2025

Who knew the eagles were so divisive?! Not me. A bit drab in the middle but overall it was an enjoyable album

The Score by Fugees
May 26 2025

I knew I wasn't going to love 90s east coast jazzy instrumentals. However, they were more interesting than I thought and the flow / delivery on some tracks is great. I can see why it's viewed as a classic but I don't see myself returning to many of the tracks.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
May 27 2025

I've never been a fan or country music so this was always going to be a tough listen. I had to persevere through multiple listens to find something to like. I missed the extent of the storytelling at first; I just zoned out due to the minimalist instrumentals. This is the redeeming feature for me but my mind on country music remains unchanged.

Live At Leeds by The Who
May 28 2025

Hard to appreciate a live album from a band I've only ever heard a few singles from - will try to revisit

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jun 03 2025

Step back flute haters! I enjoyed this album. It's well executed but there's little pull me back for further listens.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Jun 04 2025

Decent listen but maybe I needed to be feeling sad as this didn't connect

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jun 25 2025

Rockier songs good. Others less so.

Colour By Numbers by Culture Club
Jun 26 2025

I liked this way more than expected. I was expecting my idea of hellish 80s pop but this was pretty enjoyable with the exception of a few duds

Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
Jun 27 2025

I feel like I should have liked this, and I tried to like it, but the spacey western vibes are not for me.

Jul 29 2025

Still love some old Coldplay. The best songs here are great and the others are a bit meh by comparison.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jul 31 2025

Thought I would like but I did not!

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Aug 01 2025

I imagine it was influential and it was a decent listen but there's nothing here to make me return

Harvest by Neil Young
Aug 04 2025

I accidentally listened to Harvest Moon instead and enjoyed that a lot more! Old man is great but the rest was a bit meh

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Oct 31 2025

Only listen if you want funky bongo fever dreams

2112 by Rush
Nov 03 2025

I wish the first track was split up for the modern day listener. I preferred the more fast tempo moments but enjoyed it overall

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Nov 04 2025

A couple of great stand out tracks but the rest just isn't for me

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Nov 05 2025

Good listen. Influential. Just not enough replay ability to be higher for me

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Nov 07 2025

The songs aren't bad but the album is bloated and the multiple song versions is just a bad listening experience

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
May 12 2026

Good few classic tracks and the rest is decent

Greetings From L.A. by Tim Buckley
May 13 2026

I put this on thinking it was Jeff then my ears were quickly assaulted with very non Jeff like sounds. I normally listen to albums a few times to give them a real shot but I can't stand the singing and some of the instrumentation is cheesy. I'm so glad this album was short!

Rubber Soul by Beatles
May 14 2026

I've not listened to the Beatles' backlog. I know their big singles and this is just okay by comparison.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
May 18 2026

There are a few great mellow songs here mixed with mediocre or weird mix of foot stomping tracks
