Did not like. Liked one of the pop songs. Violently happy.

Loved the blues undertone. Want to listen to this again :)
Felt like I was in an 80s movie or a Pixar movie listening to this album
Love Peter Gabriel’s tone and voice. Felt the album was 3.5 or 4 with one to two great songs.
Definitely appreciate this album way more after seeing A Complete Unknown a million times. But it’s still only a 4/5 for me.
This was good until it wasn’t 😂 liked the songs with the words and then when there weren’t enough, the music stressed me out too much to listen on.
I was in dire straits when listening to this album. But I appreciated it! It calmed me down in a few moments of stress. But no songs stood out.
I can appreciate the influence this album had and the influences it drew from (Joan Baez, Janice Joplin), BUT it was okay for me. I appreciated the songs that were more autobiographical to her life. Couldn’t handle Birdland about William Reich. No, thank you. It was no All Too Well the 10 minute version.
Gave me major Sam Smith vibes but there was too much vibrato in most notes. But I liked the band.
Was very disappointed at this album because I love their song “We Used to be Friends.” This album didn’t live up to that song.
I could listen to Stevie Wonder read the dictionary and it would be a 5/5 for me. Love him and his music.
To me a 5/5 album because every song put a smile on my face despite my wanting to cry. Their songs are just fun and so uniquely them. You’d recognize a beach boys song anywhere but it’s not boring.
Interesting but not for me. It was quite the mish mosh of music and I preferred it when there weren’t any vocals.
Not bad. Was truthfully too stressed to listen to well lol
Such a bop. Love Missy
Enjoyed smack my bitch up because it was amusing. But this was not my album.
This album makes me happy. Everything about it. Nothing more needs to be said.
Would listen again but wouldn’t ever rush to put it on. However, understanding the political significance to it definitely made it more interesting to listen to. Knowing his personal life story made it slightly less of a choice? This man had 27 wives and when that was too many, he narrowed it down to 12 lol.
I grew up on this album with Sweet Baby James being a bedtime song. For nostalgia purposes 5/5. But I also love James Taylor’s guitar playing. You hear a song of his and instantly know whose it is.
Did not like. The music made my heart race and not in a good way.
I understood why some people like some of the songs. But 90% of this album was noise. I honestly had to listen to it while I was playing it in the living room and I was in the bedroom 😂
This album was like the podcasts I listen to when I fall asleep - I wanted to listen but was lulled to bed. The gravelly voice and the smooth jazz in the background, I was a goner.
I think I’ve mostly listened to the Cyndi Lauper singles and this album was a great reminder that she’s more than those songs. Love the synth pop sound and love the 80s vibes. Also, Money Changes Everything was the perfect theme for Money Monday.
Chris Martin is Chris Martin but I don’t love this album. It just felt long.
This was an Andrew album through and through, so while I loved watching him love the songs, I thought they were okay.
No words needed for this album.
Love this album and these songs. Some of the instrumental parts were just too long for me, so 4/5 not 5/5.
Liked a lot of the songs but the album felt SO long despite being under an hour long.
Love Eric Clapton and this album. It was super nostalgic. Eric Clapton was definitely an artist that my family had on repeat.
I wanted to like this album but couldn’t. I prefer the musicians they influenced to the real deal!
Nothing redeeming about this album which was obvious as soon as the intro started.
I remember Incubus being the butt of lots of jokes growing up, but it’s not that bad. It’s not for me - I don’t love Brandon Boyd’s voice, but it does take me back to some of my more grunge focused middle school favorites (sum 41, blink 182, fallout boy). 2.5-3 for me. I guess it should also be said, I don’t love the Red Hot Chili Peppers who Incubus took some inspiration from. I do like Drive but it seemed like an anomaly on the album.
This album has some hits, but I really didn’t like the song it ended on, Listen. It took me out of the vibe of the album.
