The Sun Rises In The East
Jeru The DamajaFirst venture into East coast rap. Some good beats and overall quite fun, if a little of its time in places.

Absolute classic album
The sort of album I wanted to find when I started this. Would have probably never listened to it otherwise, and very glad I did.
So much energy in his live performances, makes me wish I could have been there!
Such a fun and energetic album with some really beautiful songs in there too, amazing range that keeps a 1h 45m album interesting
Expected the dreariness to put me off but if anything it give his words more gravity. Some beautiful poetry and overall a pleasant surprise
This one takes me back lol, maybe slightly biased as this is an album I've treasured for many years now but I think as far as pop albums go it's a collection of excellent songs
Maybe this just isn't for me but I found what is essentially just 45 mins of guitar solos a bit of a slog to get through
Fairly chill, pleasant album
Not sure I necessarily 'get' this album - fun and whimsical in places but does feel like a bunch of snippets of songs. I haven't listened to other beach boy songs and maybe in context it makes more sense
Some fun songs but ultimately not all that much grabbed me
Not sure much needs to be said here, excellent album (although not my absolute favourite of the Beatles)
Never properly listened to the kinks but this was a great introduction, will be listening again
Obviously Cash is a great singer, and this is a significant album, but at the end of the day it did feel like a bunch of covers, and I maybe haven't listened to enough cash to be able to resonate with it as much as others have
Probably my favourite album from the Beatles, it has a great sense of fun about it and some excellent songs
As someone who's quite a big fan of the garage rock revival sound, I was a little disappointed by this. Certainly not bad by any means but I didn't find much here which i felt stood out.
While I'm not inherently against heavier music, it's certainly not my fave and slipknot haven't really done much to win my over.
Some very good songs in here, but also a few songs which do drag a little
Some very fun songs
Altogether quite fun, although not a lot stood out . Have never been a massive fan of love fool but was pleasantly surprised by their other songs
Absolutely electric. I think if I’d discovered this when I was younger I would have been absolutely obsessed, which does somewhat surprise me as I’ve always known of the prodigy and their songs but never dived much into them
Short and sweet, gets its point across in 15 minutes, would have maybe tired a bit of it if it was much longer, but certainly can’t complain for what it is
Part of me wants to be contrarian and rate this lower but tbh what this album manages to achieve is exceptionally impressive. I love the jazz samples and I think it captures the political atmosphere of when it was released, so it’s defo earned the 5
Was surprised by how many songs on this I recognised. Wouldn’t necessarily be my taste but from the very first chord this album is so unapologetic in its sound I have to respect it
A wholly enjoyable time with classic country, not something I’d necessarily come back to a lot but I can’t fault it for what it’s meant to be
