Popular Reviews

american dream by LCD Soundsystem

LCD are great, though this isn’t my fave of theirs, but still some great grooves on here. A couple songs felt a wee bit long but this world quite well as background music because of it

The Sun Rises In The East by Jeru The Damaja
Jun 03 2025

First venture into East coast rap. Some good beats and overall quite fun, if a little of its time in places.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Jun 04 2025

Absolute classic album

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jun 05 2025

The sort of album I wanted to find when I started this. Would have probably never listened to it otherwise, and very glad I did.

Rio by Duran Duran
Jun 06 2025
Live! by Fela Kuti
Jun 07 2025

So much energy in his live performances, makes me wish I could have been there!

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Jun 08 2025

Such a fun and energetic album with some really beautiful songs in there too, amazing range that keeps a 1h 45m album interesting

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Jun 09 2025

Expected the dreariness to put me off but if anything it give his words more gravity. Some beautiful poetry and overall a pleasant surprise

Melodrama by Lorde
Jun 10 2025

This one takes me back lol, maybe slightly biased as this is an album I've treasured for many years now but I think as far as pop albums go it's a collection of excellent songs

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jun 11 2025

Maybe this just isn't for me but I found what is essentially just 45 mins of guitar solos a bit of a slog to get through

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jun 12 2025

Fairly chill, pleasant album

Smile by Brian Wilson
Jun 13 2025

Not sure I necessarily 'get' this album - fun and whimsical in places but does feel like a bunch of snippets of songs. I haven't listened to other beach boy songs and maybe in context it makes more sense

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Jun 14 2025

Some fun songs but ultimately not all that much grabbed me

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jun 15 2025

Not sure much needs to be said here, excellent album (although not my absolute favourite of the Beatles)

Jun 18 2025

Obviously Cash is a great singer, and this is a significant album, but at the end of the day it did feel like a bunch of covers, and I maybe haven't listened to enough cash to be able to resonate with it as much as others have

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Jun 22 2025

As someone who's quite a big fan of the garage rock revival sound, I was a little disappointed by this. Certainly not bad by any means but I didn't find much here which i felt stood out.

Slipknot by Slipknot
Jun 23 2025

While I'm not inherently against heavier music, it's certainly not my fave and slipknot haven't really done much to win my over.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jun 25 2025

Some very good songs in here, but also a few songs which do drag a little

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jun 27 2025
First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Jun 30 2025

Altogether quite fun, although not a lot stood out . Have never been a massive fan of love fool but was pleasantly surprised by their other songs

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jul 05 2025

Absolutely electric. I think if I’d discovered this when I was younger I would have been absolutely obsessed, which does somewhat surprise me as I’ve always known of the prodigy and their songs but never dived much into them

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Jul 09 2025

Short and sweet, gets its point across in 15 minutes, would have maybe tired a bit of it if it was much longer, but certainly can’t complain for what it is

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jul 12 2025

Part of me wants to be contrarian and rate this lower but tbh what this album manages to achieve is exceptionally impressive. I love the jazz samples and I think it captures the political atmosphere of when it was released, so it’s defo earned the 5

In Utero by Nirvana
Jul 14 2025

Was surprised by how many songs on this I recognised. Wouldn’t necessarily be my taste but from the very first chord this album is so unapologetic in its sound I have to respect it

Jul 15 2025

A wholly enjoyable time with classic country, not something I’d necessarily come back to a lot but I can’t fault it for what it’s meant to be

New Wave by The Auteurs
Jul 18 2025

Very listenable, but not all that much stands out

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Jul 20 2025

Pretty fun, maybe need to give it another listen

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jul 23 2025

Enjoyed this a lot, very jazzy, also a surprisingly good running album

Berlin by Lou Reed
Aug 05 2025

A beautiful but equally tragic album. One I’m really glad to have listened to twice as I first enjoyed the songs without listening to them too deeply, and then was blown away further upon actually listening to the lyrics. One I will certainly come back to again and again.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 06 2025

Quite fun album, and one which benefits from reminding yourself when it was made to properly appreciate the influence it has

Aug 08 2025

Very enjoyable chill album, got me through a very sleep deprived early morning flight

The Specials by The Specials
Aug 11 2025

Great running album, very fun, will listen again

The Stooges by The Stooges
Aug 15 2025

Can certainly see the influence this had on bands such as the strokes, but this means in hindsight it can feel stale in places listening now. Regardless it was an interesting listen to an important part of music history

Liquid Swords by GZA
Aug 21 2025

The beats were probably my favourite part of this, but some quality lyricism here too

Moon Safari by Air
Aug 22 2025

As a general fan of the French touch sound in electronic music this had some great moments in it but didn’t quite pull me in as much as I hoped it might

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Aug 23 2025

Fun bit of trip hop, can’t fault it really

Debut by Björk
Sep 13 2025

Excellent. An album with such a unique identity and so fun. Will definitely be coming back

Garbage by Garbage
Sep 30 2025

I can’t explain why but this gave me a bit of a sore head (might have been dehydrated and at the gym tbf)

Harvest by Neil Young
Oct 03 2025

Was surprised by how much I enjoyed that. Maybe I do like folk. Old man is a banger even if I did feel bad for recognising it from insta reels

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Oct 23 2025

The most interesting thing about this is how far they’ve come compared to their later albums

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Oct 27 2025

Turns out I enjoy the 90s rap sound more than I thought I did, that being said nothing majorly stand out on this

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Oct 30 2025

More Stevie wonder, what else can I say? Not quite SITKOL but not much else is, a pleasure regardless

London Calling by The Clash
Nov 25 2025

Ofc the title track is classic but I didn’t necessarily feel much else

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Jan 15 2026

Undoubtedly solid album with some classics on it. Does get a little samey but I can’t fault it too much

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Jan 23 2026

LCD are great, though this isn’t my fave of theirs, but still some great grooves on here. A couple songs felt a wee bit long but this world quite well as background music because of it

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
May 17 2026

Gorgeous timeless feel to it and v creative use of samples
