The Visitors
ABBAGood, but didn't get it's hooks in. I'll need to relisten to give it a fair shake.
Good, but didn't get it's hooks in. I'll need to relisten to give it a fair shake.
Nice sounds, listened once to feel it and another to hear the lyrics.
I liked it. Fun, dynamic, without sounding busy.
I'm not a big fan of Reggae, just feels like the on ramp to punk but then gets meandry. That said a lot of this worked for me, and it's interesting to hear how those two genres overlapped in unexpected ways.
This album was pretty unavoidable in my part of the world. Nice nostalgia replay, but it gets a little samey after a while.
Good vibes, weighted blanket of an album
Woof. Loved this as a kid but it was a slog to get through now.
Pretty cool emotional contrasts and interesting arrangements, definitely circling back to this one soon.
Strong opening song, hadn't heard of this band but enjoyed most of this album.
Hell Yeah!
Okay we’re hitting a hot streak now
Franny McDormand was right; devil's music.
This guy looks like JD Vance's Sims avatar and I think I judged this too harshly because of it. Suh-leek new wave sounds, new fan.
Classic in every sense of the word. Nice to hear again.
Love to hear some of early Pink Floyd's well.
Oof, fair few guitar riffs that still work and the drums don't miss, but it ain't my bag.
Helicopter
Damn it Morrissey and his stupid heel turn
Interesting voice, I get his popularity, but wasn't doing much for me. That fiddle opening Cut Across Shorty wasn't slouching though.
Piccolo's running with a pretty wild crowd.
🔁xAll Weekend
They all peed on that wall moments before this photo was taken.
Fleetwood Mac without the spicy toxic relationships
This American Life's transitions owe Beck an explanation.
Couldn't do it, held out for the Randy Newman cover, but it's just a slog to me.
Must be the 1001st album on this list. Woof
Front to back stacked
This list of albums is padded heavily with huge singles that are in otherwise dud albums. If there's one thing I'm taking away from this 1001 album project it's how blatantly critics pander to flavors of the week.
