Tank Battles
Dagmar KrauseIt's avant garde, I can appreciate it for what it is, but it sadly doesn't resonate

Yeah it's a classic. Highlights being Try and Love Again and New Kids in Town. Don Henley is so recognisable it hurts
I feel like i'm in year 8 again - Riot Van is so underrated; There exists no better album closer than A Certain Romance
Life's a Bitch - album highlight, not representative of personal views
Although not one of my personal greatests by the greatest, it still holds up as being great
Jesus, the title track really does all of the heavy lifting here
Here, there, everywhere and it wants to punch you in the face. By the end, it kinda bleeds into one though - sorry Lars
Oh, you're telling me this ISN'T Beck? I mean, it's fun
This is a long album, and there's not too much variance between a bunch of decent songs
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaw
The soul flows through me
Maybe I bigger this one up too much in my head before listening, but I left feeling underwhelmed
I was listening to this album as I was reading Stoner by John Williams, and an hour went by in a totally 1966 "twee-psych" manner which is serviceable and inoffensive.
Historically hate Morrissey which has always made listening to The Smiths a hateful act - this is a pretty good album
Actually so much better than what I expected from a disco album - massive range of styles. However with disco, you listen to the opening minute of a song and know what the rest is gonna sound like
Uh oh could it be one of the most instantly recognisable and iconic singers of all time? I do prefer others by her more than this, but love ya Grandma and Grandad
Again with the 60s psych - throw it all in a pot and it doesn't matter what band it is
Get me into a dark room filled with cigar smoke NOW
I fully know that the whole point is that MIA is sampling in a plunderphonic type way, but it just felt a bit too all over the place for me
It's alright; it's almost a predecessor to late Arctic Monkeys, but maybe that's Sheffield coming through. Feel this is on the list as a zeitgeisty 2005 "This is going to be revered forever it NEEDS to go in the book otherwise i'm going to look like an idiot", but has since been forgotten
I LOVE this album. I can listen to this 8 times in a day on repeat whilst at work and I don't get bored. Unfortunately Getz was a creep and so loses out on a star.
It's Goldie, it's timeless, it's jungle
This is fun - put it on in the background at work and answering emails felt like a gunslinging adventure
Look, I know that this is good, and I know that it is seminal folk, but it's just like a blander Dylan to me DON'T SHOOT ME!!!
Fucking hell what an album
What do I really say that hasn't been said already. Now it's Autumn as well, this bumps up on the rotation
This is so much more pub rock than what was on YHF - not so much my vibe sadly, but I'll ask my Dad what he thinks of it I guess
Theater kids will LOVE this one
