The Wall by Pink Floyd
Sep 02 2025

This is the ultimate classic. It is still so current in its originality and story-telling. Definitely a must-hear.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Sep 03 2025

It was approrpriate for the time as a pseudo-indie rock band vibe. Not necessarily my preferred style of music, but in any case, a solid listen.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Sep 06 2025

Not for me... didn't like it when it first came out, still not my thing.

Green by R.E.M.
Sep 08 2025

LOVE this... a complete classic. An anthem to kids in the US who grew up in the late 80s.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Sep 13 2025

another classic... definitly the 80s vibe that was great background party music.

Pornography by The Cure
Sep 21 2025

Not the best Cure album, but the Cure is one of the best. The outlet for 80's angst.

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Oct 02 2025

half the songs are good, the other way too Casio

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Oct 07 2025

An album everyone MUST have in their collection. The ideal chill evening...

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Oct 22 2025

Anyone who grew up in the USA during the 80s... this is one of those albums we all have in our CD collection.

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Oct 27 2025

The voice... that Erykah voice. Unbelievable.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Oct 31 2025

Although not all tunes really good, some really vulgar and kinda over-the-top as far as obscenity goes, this is a CLASSIC West Coast rap work, one that started its branch from NYC rap (WuTang, Busta, etc.)... this is the West Coast album that stood up to Biggy and started the "rivalry" -- Gin & Juice is probably one of the most sampled hooks in rap history, Serial Killa a big one too. You can love it, you can hate it, but there's no denying that it is a hands-down, must-listen-to-at-least-once classic for rap culture. The longevity of Snoop is also impressive, and it was this album that started it all for him. The MTV video is worth seeing. Silly and goofy by today's measure, but serious "gangsta" for the time.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Nov 04 2025

A mix of 70s rock, sort of like a country or folky version of Jethro Tull, but not nearly as good--and no flute but guitar. Same sort of vibe, though, would work on a Jethro Tull / 70's folk rock playlist.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Nov 11 2025
Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Nov 13 2025

Just not my kind of music.

The Bends by Radiohead
Nov 18 2025

LOVE LOVE LOVE... classic Radiohead

In Utero by Nirvana
Nov 25 2025

Who can't love this??

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Dec 11 2025

I like it, but there's just so much of this style of music I can listen to in one go. It's really nice on a mix tape, but when listening to one tune after the other it gets a bit repetitive and you tend to tune-out. It's quite good, makes me think of a Tango-Spanish-style Thievery Corporation.

Tago Mago by Can
Jan 08 2026

It's a great album if you're into 70s rock. That makes it a bit dated, but still very good to chill to.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Jan 13 2026

A classic for rap fans who like the OG crew

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Jan 14 2026

It's a classic but just not my vibe.

Jan 20 2026

A true American Classic--despite often racist lyrics and with many concerts and albums adorned with the Confederate (pro slavery) flag of 1860's US, which some people still hail today. Yet, some of their tunes are undeniably classic Southern rock when you ignore the racist lyrics. 2 stars for being racists and pro-Confederate South, but a classic 70s work nevertheless.

Dookie by Green Day
Feb 07 2026

Classic for GenX

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Feb 10 2026

It's ok, a classic but not my favorite style.
