Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Sep 03 2025

I would put this on on a sunny afternoon as background music. The quicker-tempo songs are fun to bop along to. I liked the horns on birch and can’t you hear me knocking. The lyrics didn’t really stick out to me, but at the same time I thought it was maybe a good album to sing along to…

The Stooges by The Stooges
Sep 04 2025

Feels kinda jammy with the repetition and length of some songs. I liked certain segments but often found myself waiting for each new song to start.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Sep 05 2025

Very pleasant! Sometimes kind of meditative? I was surprised by the direction some of the longer songs went in - like in reverse started with calming instrumental then went into a more soft-rock vibe. Will possibly play again.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Sep 08 2025

This album is so fun and familiar. I recognized almost every song, but didn’t realize they were songs from this album. I also thought it was ‘man on the run’. Would listen to again, lots of pop variety.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Sep 10 2025

Didn’t make it to the end yet but really enjoying so far.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Sep 11 2025

Lotsa hits! Time after time is my fave on the album.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Sep 12 2025

So nostalgic. Very easy to sing along. One thing I really like is how songs reference one another, makes the album feel like one piece.

The Cars by The Cars
Sep 16 2025

Very of a time and I’m not the biggest fan of that time hah. I sang along to just what I needed though!

The Next Day by David Bowie
Sep 18 2025

Pretty decent but didn’t grab me as much as other bowies.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Sep 19 2025

Yes! This album! This restored my interest in 1001 albums. No skips. I even listened to some of it again the next day.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Sep 25 2025

Pretty cool. Old school vibes.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Sep 26 2025

This would likely be incredible live. Raghupati was my favorite for the group singing and funky rhythms.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Sep 30 2025

On the song ‘almost cut my hair’ they sings about letting their freak flag fly - is that where the saying comes from!? Regardless, I enjoyed this! Felt like it had the right amount of variety between tracks and some definite hits as well.

Spiderland by Slint
Oct 01 2025

Not my tea. Might have enjoyed more at a different time though.

Locust Abortion Technician by Butthole Surfers
Oct 02 2025

I would have loved to become a fan of Butthole Surfers but it wasn’t in the cards! Felt like I would have appreciated live but can’t imagine putting this album on again.

Oct 03 2025

I really like Curtis Mayfield. Great album. Didn’t love it as much as the song ‘Move on up’ so gave it a 4.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Oct 13 2025

I appreciate this album but its just not really my style

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Oct 20 2025

This was cool to revisit because I remember when it came out and I was a young teen and I thought Blue Orchid was soooo coooool. Now that I've lived some life I appreciate the musicality more. Enjoyed!

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Oct 27 2025

I was really excited about this album from the first song, but then it kind of mellowed out for the rest of the album. It was really pretty but didn’t hold my attention.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Oct 30 2025

This felt kind of like Bruce Springsteen… is that just me? Bit to rock-y for me. I really like the album cover though.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Nov 03 2025

Very delightful. I’m more familiar with the Graceland album but knew some of the hits here too. Would say I’m a fan!

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Nov 06 2025

I could go on and on about this album. I first heard when I was in middle school and I remember being surprised that it was 'Led Zeppelin' who I thought made really hard core music. I still felt like a badass listening though. I don't know what I'd call it but I love the build-ups where it kind of does a beat drop into the rocky part. So cool.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Nov 10 2025

Why are the songs so long? Many of these albums have very long songs and if you’re not 100p on it they feel even longer.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Nov 11 2025

I liked this more than I thought I would. Once I made it through smells like teen spirit it only got better. Will even consider listening again and possibly bumping up to 4.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Nov 18 2025

Throwback to my university days! Yeah it's good. I think I like it more than I did then.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Nov 27 2025

Kinda just meh. Maybe I should listen again another time. Wasn't in the mood.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Dec 01 2025

I’ve never given Black Sabbath a chance. I think it’s because of the bat stuff. But look at me now! I really enjoyed this. I didn't even mind that the first song was longer than 7 minutes...

Dec 02 2025

I really love Maggot Brain but never listened to this one. I don’t think any songs topped ‘Can you get to that’ but the funk was funking.
