I would put this on on a sunny afternoon as background music. The quicker-tempo songs are fun to bop along to. I liked the horns on birch and can’t you hear me knocking. The lyrics didn’t really stick out to me, but at the same time I thought it was maybe a good album to sing along to…
Feels kinda jammy with the repetition and length of some songs. I liked certain segments but often found myself waiting for each new song to start.
Very pleasant! Sometimes kind of meditative? I was surprised by the direction some of the longer songs went in - like in reverse started with calming instrumental then went into a more soft-rock vibe. Will possibly play again.
This album is so fun and familiar. I recognized almost every song, but didn’t realize they were songs from this album. I also thought it was ‘man on the run’. Would listen to again, lots of pop variety.

On the song ‘almost cut my hair’ they sings about letting their freak flag fly - is that where the saying comes from!? Regardless, I enjoyed this! Felt like it had the right amount of variety between tracks and some definite hits as well.

I would have loved to become a fan of Butthole Surfers but it wasn’t in the cards! Felt like I would have appreciated live but can’t imagine putting this album on again.
I really like Curtis Mayfield. Great album. Didn’t love it as much as the song ‘Move on up’ so gave it a 4.

This was cool to revisit because I remember when it came out and I was a young teen and I thought Blue Orchid was soooo coooool. Now that I've lived some life I appreciate the musicality more. Enjoyed!
I was really excited about this album from the first song, but then it kind of mellowed out for the rest of the album. It was really pretty but didn’t hold my attention.
This felt kind of like Bruce Springsteen… is that just me? Bit to rock-y for me. I really like the album cover though.
Very delightful. I’m more familiar with the Graceland album but knew some of the hits here too. Would say I’m a fan!
I could go on and on about this album. I first heard when I was in middle school and I remember being surprised that it was 'Led Zeppelin' who I thought made really hard core music. I still felt like a badass listening though. I don't know what I'd call it but I love the build-ups where it kind of does a beat drop into the rocky part. So cool.
Why are the songs so long? Many of these albums have very long songs and if you’re not 100p on it they feel even longer.
I liked this more than I thought I would. Once I made it through smells like teen spirit it only got better. Will even consider listening again and possibly bumping up to 4.

I really love Maggot Brain but never listened to this one. I don’t think any songs topped ‘Can you get to that’ but the funk was funking.
