Immediately - Love the Southern Soul-Gospel piano to kick off the album.
Overall, this sounds like a show and collage of moods and styles. The vocal performances are pretty alright, and some tracks give me a Ben Folds vibe. Piano playing almost sounds like it could cover off of Rocking the Suburbs - even though this came out 20? years earlier.
I laughed out loud at "A Gospel". Please see the Wendy's Employee Training from the 80s. British dudes singing... rrm... writing about American politics is always weird to me.
The Wiki states that this is more of a compilation, and academically, it includes some solid music ideas and examples. The recording is simple and not overworked. "Here's one that got away" is a great example of that, but I'd almost prefer a comp of various artists who really embody these genres and styles.
"Fuck who's the baddest, a person's status depends on salary
And my mentality is money-orientated"
I haven’t thought about this album in forever. The structure, lyrics, flow, samples, beats, the best of the era and probably ushered in a turning point in the genre becuase - man, no going back from this one.

Real talk, I think this style of dance music is a joke. And I think I’d put this album as a prime example.
Not a huge electronic music person. I appreciate the blend of digital and analogue instruments.
Damon is boring here.
Danger Mouse is the most overrated producer.
Just not good is the only way I can really put it.
No wonder GenX were so predisposed to apathy.
Trust. I do not need to listen to this album to rate it. 10 Stars.
Update. I listened to it. 20 stars.
Let's see what the caterpillar has to say about this one. Caterpillar?
"Which way did the fishy fish go?"
A complete mid-range album from a time where LSD was both super cool and used by the CIA to look into other dimensions.
Fun.
Neat.
Easy listening.
But just kinda “good” to me.
Fun. Not a huge Killers fan. Nothing groundbreaking or really grasping to me on this album
In the current taylor swift climate, i refuse to believe this was given to us at random. I sang every word. Loudly. Proudly. Adam Dreschner [sic] made this album anything it was going to be.
This is one of the first albums I ever bought and some of the first songs I ever learned to play. I did not know Johnny cash farther than a cartoonish character of country music that was more fable than man. It wasn’t until a decade later I really started to see cash a a real person after reading Cash by Johnny Cash (because I was High Fidelity). Now 20 years later with more insight and understanding more of the songs chosen for this anthology, I can give it no less than an 5/5
Peter Gabrielle is so bleh to me. But so are most British art school weenies
Frankly I love this album.
Hippie ass bullshit that I love
I really know this is a good album, but I have a lot of bee's in my brain right now so the amount happening on this album is just overwhelming to me. Someone once said that music is the space between notes. There is no space between notes here. There is no room on this album. It is the musical equivalent to being at a crowded party. It is sensory overload the soundtrack.
It’s kinda just a alright
I am not familiar with the work.
I am too hung over for James Brown.
Anything RHCP is getting 5 stars from me. I love this band. They do no wrong. (Musically)
I really enjoy this album. I would credit this album to me getting into more folk music and Brit pop.
Some real bangers in this. Neil young sounds really good here.
Please read this with the note that I do not like The Rolling Stones. Wow. What a garbage album that is a gross imitation of blues rock more egregious than Led Zeppelin.
It's the white album. What more do you want me to say?
If you could ever here some one’s fingers all over something, it’d be Brian Eno here.
Did you know that this album got produced purely to spite Bruce Springsteen? Todd Rundgren is a bitter man.
Just never really go into this vibe but it's not bad.
Today, tomorrow sawyer. Tomorrow, the world.
