This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 22 2025

Loved this pop punk treat. I have other Elvis Costello records--later ones. This was great to discover.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Nov 22 2025

Enjoyable. Appreciate the artist. But not my go to genre.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Nov 23 2025

I have Fun House. I think it's better. But clearly in the scheme of musical history and influence a very important record.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Nov 24 2025

She is the Queen. Flawless.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Nov 25 2025

Second side is better. I think other records of NC&TBS are better. Don't know why this one is on the list.

Nov 26 2025

Surprised I have not listened to this record previously. Surprised how much I really liked it. Love the guitars and Southern rock ethos.

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Nov 27 2025

Initially excited to revisit this. Did not age well with me.

Sound Affects by The Jam
Nov 28 2025

Really liked this. Authentic Brit pop-punk before it was cool--making it cool.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Nov 29 2025

Absolutely one of the best an innovative artists. No question. He is one of my all time favorites and this record is great. Just for a Thrill?! I mean come on. He's a genius and I listen to and appreciate everything he has made. Including the country!

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Nov 30 2025

Totally out of my interest sphere. But could play in the background without much distraction. Generally not my jam. Don't get drawn into new age soundscapes which make no sense to me--while instrumentalization is clearly proficient, composition just sounds like a toddler playing around.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Dec 12 2025

Nice. I like Tracey Thorn's voice on this record.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Dec 14 2025

This was a pivotal album for me in my musical journey. Love.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Dec 15 2025

Not much fear. Not much whiskey. Brit punk first wave than never really landed with me.

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Dec 17 2025

Like this genre generally--60's surfy pop. But this record seemed to be one run-on sound.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Dec 21 2025
Elephant by The White Stripes
Dec 23 2025

Almost perfect.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Dec 27 2025

Heads will roll...good tune. Interesting album.

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Dec 29 2025
Vulnicura by Björk
Jan 01 2026

Unisound background. Lyrics are quite beautiful but are lost in the noise.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Jan 02 2026
Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jan 03 2026

Time of the Season - classic. The album is of its time. Uni-sound '68

Jan 04 2026

Nostalgic 80's pop--with more substance than most. Really liked it.
