Metallica by Metallica
Dec 29 2025

This album has 2 amazing songs. 2 very good songs gas and the rest of the album sounds basically the same. The 4 songs pulls it up to 3 stars but I can’t go any higher. This isn’t my thing but it does have value and I’m glad it exists

Ten by Pearl Jam
Dec 30 2025

A fucking classic.

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Dec 31 2025

I’ve never been hugely in to the Pixies. I’ve tried many times. I’ve seen them live and nothing. People whose opinion I respect told me how much they liked them. Nothing. I enjoyed this album but I can’t say it’s something I will come back to. I’m glad I listened to it but that’s where it ends

Punishing Kiss by Ute Lemper
Jan 02 2026

Blood Money is one of my favorite albums ever. Her version of The Part that You Throw Away is a fucking crime. It’s absolutely fucking terrible

Hotel California by Eagles
Jan 04 2026

An easy 5. Even though I truly want to hate the Eagles. It’s impossible. This album is a fucking landmark of the genre. I love it almost in spite of myself. It’s a classic that everyone should listen to. One of the best selling albums of all time for a reason.

Different Class by Pulp
Jan 06 2026

This album was one that I had always been aware of but had never listened to. Being in middle school during this time period while also being a major music fan meant that I was aware of its existence but Oasis was everywhere and I’m not sure Pulp made it across to the US south. I had heard of them but Common People wasn’t coming out of the radio like Champagne Supernova. Consequently, this was the first time I listened to this album and I’m so glad I did. It was really incredible and I can’t wait to explore further into their discography

For my birthday, 1001 albums generator got me one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands. It’s a flat out classic banger. Probably not to everyone’s taste but definitely to mine. Thanks 1001 albums generator!

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Jan 10 2026

It’s okay. A lot of filler for this short of an album

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jan 12 2026

When this album came out I would have probably given it 5 stars. It is a great album but it’s not a perfect album. The second half drags a bit. In general it’s great but I’m not sure it deserves anything more than incredibly memorable. It isn’t perfect but it definitely has a place on this list
