Pearl by Janis Joplin

Feels like the universe is out to get me for me to draw this album right after I was thinking I can't really stand her voice...

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jan 03 2026

Good vibes, like the sound - way too overstuffed

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jan 04 2026

Nothing makes me feel crazier than thinking Talking Heads are grating and overrated when most people think they're on par with The Beatles

Tapestry by Carole King
Jan 05 2026

Unparalleled songwriting, just gorgeous. And one of the best album covers of all time!

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jan 06 2026

I think Trent Reznor is a fascinating person. His film scores are incredible. I just...can't do NIN

Jan 07 2026

Underrated somehow - I think the hate comes from the reaction to latter day Coldplay. Clocks is an all timer, Amsterdam is stunning, the mood on this album is just next level

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Jan 08 2026

When you want to be in a rock band but not appear like you care about being in a rock band

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Jan 09 2026

I took this project on to find blind spots that could become favorites, and this was the first one that fell into this category. Incredible voice, flawless production

1999 by Prince
Jan 10 2026

I know this is blasphemous but...this is SO self indulgent. Having said that, great album to put on at a party I imagine.

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Jan 11 2026

Pretty fun and honestly a breath of fresh air after some looooong overstuffed albums

Palo Congo by Sabu
Jan 12 2026

Great party album, but not sure I'd listen to it outside of that

Copper Blue by Sugar
Jan 14 2026

Love the wall of sound/power pop tone but the vocals became irritating

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Jan 15 2026

Grating...not for me

GI by Germs
Jan 16 2026

I get why people did not vibe with this but damn...what a discovery for me. Bass tone in particular absolutely ripped and finding out it was a woman in punk playing this lines was awesome

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jan 20 2026

I get why it's held in high regard...absolutely not for me

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Jan 21 2026

Love the production, lyrics are kinda awful

Jan 22 2026

At times a little challenging but would also just add things that floored me - flamenco guitar coming in out of nowhere? LFG

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Jan 23 2026

Fun pop album and a total time capsule that too many people think they're above

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jan 24 2026

Not my favorite of theirs but still absolutely rips

Jan 25 2026

Like someone recorded some good/interesting music and then said "This is fine but what if we add in some fart sounding synth?"

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Jan 26 2026

Sometimes I wonder if whoever made this list just looked up albums thought were influential and didn't bother to see if they were actually any good

Disintegration by The Cure
Jan 27 2026

I can think of few albums that take me away like this one can. I bought this record a few years ago and was so thrilled to pull it out again. I get so lost in the deep sounds of this album I forget to turn the record over. Robert Smith is incredible!

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Jan 28 2026

A little repetitive, but some legit cool moments. Pretty perfect to listen to while working.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Jan 29 2026

AWESOME instrumentation. The vocals felt a little grating by the end. I could see myself returning to a few songs.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jan 30 2026

Enjoyed for the first half and then I'm sorry but..Thom Yorke get very grating. Radiohead just isn't for me!

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Jan 31 2026

A lot of fun, love the Stones influence, and Bowie is just so damn cool

The Libertines by The Libertines
Feb 01 2026

Made it through "Don't Be Shy" and had to tap out

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Feb 03 2026

Tangled Up In Blue is an all-timer, but this one lost steam for me

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Feb 04 2026

Fine, I guess. Not sure why it's held in such esteem, but nothing bad.

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Feb 05 2026

Truly my first disappointment - I lit up when I saw this after hearing so much about it, but I just can't do the whole "Bored indifferent Gen X'er" thing

Feb 06 2026

If you hate this album, you hate fun. So many styles, all done well, incredible production. Probably my favorite of the project so far

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Feb 07 2026

Adding to the list of albums to return to later

Being There by Wilco
Feb 08 2026

Got dumped by someone who was a Wilco fan and can't listen to Wilco for a bit, sorry

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Feb 09 2026

Adding to the list of albums to return to later

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Feb 10 2026

Feels like the universe is out to get me for me to draw this album right after I was thinking I can't really stand her voice...

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Feb 17 2026

Making it a new rule that I'll give an album 3 tracks before deciding if I continue - this one was just not my style, but I can recognize it sounds pretty good for what it is...hence the 3 score.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Feb 18 2026

I get why this album is so regarded...I made it halfway through and tapped out. Great musicianship, very samey. Their Kinks cover absolutely sucks and I will die on this hill

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Feb 19 2026

Started off really intrigued but by a few tracks in I found it grating and dated

Electric by The Cult
Feb 20 2026

Very generic 80s hard rock and their Goth stuff is much better...having sad that, Ian Astbury's vocals always sound good and that helped here

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Feb 21 2026

Great sounding production but I just found it SO boring

Arular by M.I.A.
Feb 22 2026

Didn't even make through the second track, grating as hell

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
Feb 23 2026

Absolutely loved the production and sound of this one, really excited to listen more times because I'm sure I'll only grow to like it even more
