very good atmosphere, all the musicians seem to be enjoying themselves on these improvisational (i presume) pieces
i like the closing chant on track 1 “a love supreme, a love supreme”
track 3 has a really nice tempo and groove - and the bass solo part is great.
overall i liked this album, not my usual style but it sounds nice and i wouldnt mind spinning it whilst i was doing other things, it has a nice relaxed vibe. short but to the point.
-Solid album from start to finish with a lot of tracks i really like.
-my immediate favourites were clint eastwood, sound check, double bass, rock the house, and 19-2000
-the album had a strong atmosphere, with a lot of different sounds, yet all of them fit the vibe in some way, with only a few i thought were a bit underbaked like man research (that one grated on me)
-i will probably appreciate it more on subsequent listens
i was excited to see gorillaz pop up, i definitely already liked their music before fully listening to this album, especially plastic beach
-very 70s vibe, with the synth and the particular style of singing.
-i’d describe the sound as quite punchy and quirky, but pleasant on the ears, with some great vocals and bass.
-this is music that is very much my type and i enjoyed this album a lot, i will be returning to it definitely.
-Strong opener- the melody with the guitars were so nice
-I like the recurring motifs and melodies throughout the album, makes it feel cohesive
-I really like “nobody home” and “comfortably numb”
-The trial feels like the climax of a broadway musical, very melodramatic, i like the instrumentation a lot in this album, it is very grand at times.
-Overall the album is longer than what I am used to listening to but it kept my attention, it was an enjoyable experience
-Beautiful album, easy-listening with unique and soulful vocals.
-I was pleasantly surprised with almost every track being of consistent quality, and also surprised to find i recognised a few of the songs on the album
-smooth and slow in some parts and energetic and fun in others
Pretty pleasant jazzy album.
- Makes me feel as if I am in a fancy cafe, It generally is easy to listen to and quite soothing.
-I struggle to review jazz as it’s hard to put into words what i like and don’t like about an album, I don’t know much about the background or context of this one, but i thought was listenable, and i will probably put it on in the background sometime.

this was a hard listen for me, I’m not a big fan of U2 to begin with, especially Bono’s voice, and to see this album was 2 hours near enough, I wasn’t looking forward to it.
It wasn’t all bad, I enjoyed a handful of song, for their instrumentation, like track 2, or silver and gold. But the majority of this album was really tiresome for me to get through, a slog.
It’s down to personal taste really, their sound has never excited me, I can’t get into the dreary rock and roll.
That being said, the band is talented, and the music was well done throughout, just not for me.
I had no idea this album or artist existed until now, and I was worried listening to early tracks,as i’m not a fan of very melodramatic, sad music.
However,I was pleasantly surprised by the vocal range, and range of sounds in this album.
The instrumentation is really good, especially the guitars, and his singing is at times very impressive.
That being said, this isn’t my personal preference for sound, and despite being able to appreciate what is here, I doubt I will be returning in future beyond a few songs.
this was one of the harder listens from my experience, noise rock isn’t really my thing, so despite listening to this whole album, I really couldn’t get into it.
I found myself often losing attention on the music, as I didn’t think it was doing anything particularly interesting, bar a few rare segments, like the piano on secret girl, or the last track bubblegum.
other than that, this really didn’t excite or interest me. Perhaps it would if I was in a different headspace.
Not looking forward to inevitably seeing more of this band.
I understand this album has been quite divisive on here. But as a fan of broadway and theatrical music, I enjoyed this album.
It was bold, funny, and dramatic, and Ute has a great voice. The instrumentals and guest features were all good.
By the end my interest was beginning to wane, and the final track really dragged, But overall the experience was positive.
Enjoyable listen. The album feels very short, but makes the most of its time.
Shine on your Crazy diamond was a musical highlight, as it builds to the iconic chorus.
My favorite track was the title track, great vocals and instrumentation.
looking forward to more from pink floyd
This album was great. One of the best so far. Lush, smooth soul, with deep, thought-provoking lyrics.
The album hits on many heavy topics, such as drug dealing and death, but never sacrifices the quality of the music to tell its story.
I’ll be returning to this, no doubt, and everyone should hear this album.
-interesting album with a large focus on the instrumental. It has many interesting and unique musical ideas, such as playing certain sections in reverse.
-the singing is unique, yet pleasant to listen to.
-This is the first king crimson i have heard, and i see why people like it, I feel this is an album i’ll appreciate more on revisits.
This is the first album i’ve ever listened to by Rod, despite knowing of him, and a few of his songs. I was pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed just about every song on this album, i loved the wide range of instruments, and rod’s soulful singing.
This is one discography i’ll be looking into for sure.
British pop punk like this is never a sound that has resonated with, so after a certain point this album was hard to pay attention to. That being said, now I am replaying a few of the songs, there’s definite quality in here, with danceable melodies. New church for example, i’m playing now. and it is enjoyable. Nothing here is of low quality.
If i was more partial to the sound of classic punk, I’d probably love this album, maybe this sound will grow on me as i listen to more albums like it.
I have always been interested in listening to this album, and of course, it is good. The album’s opening is verrrry strong, and gets you immediately invested.
The next three songs are slower, and upon listening to the album after a while of it, it was starting to lose me, however, it picks back up a little on Dazed and confused with some cool riffs. Even so, these three tracks were starting to have me a little worried for the rest of the album.
Luckily the album reeled me back in from here on out, i like the 5th and 6th track(which feels like a fun jam session).
the album is very bluesy at times, and those songs can feel formulaic to me at times, but you can’t deny the talent and uniqueness of this band.
I am quite familiar with Green Day, so i had high hopes for this album, and I am pleased to find, it is indeed a good album. The album has many of their most iconic hits.
Green Day’s sound is so fun and typically upbeat, whilst being laced with teenage angst, and I find it quite charming and nostalgic.
Not a lot to say about it, just a good time.
This guy has a great voice. Even if the music doesn’t particularly capture me on this album, I can’t deny, it is pleasant to listen to. The songwriting seems complex, and it can be grand and epic at times.
this album was a pleasant listen. it’s unlike my usual taste, but the music here was nice, the singing was easy on the ears, and i can see myself returning to it when i’m in the mood.
don’t expect bangers going into this, it’s moreso for the vibes.
Great listen, the songwriting is famously good, the music is banging.
I like bob’s singing for the most part but after a while it does wear on me,it’s very distinct, and better in short doses, in my experience.
I’ve never been a huge fan of coldplay’s sound, but there’s no denying this album’s quality. I enjoyed this album for a while, but i will admit by the halfway point i was watching the clock, as the low energy started to get tiresome.
Not bad. Just not really my favourite.
