This album has absolutely everything. Most romantic album ever for the first 3 quarters, showing me sounds of rumours era fleetwood 7 years before that album. So sonically awesome. Last quarter just lets loose - this is such a good listen man I can’t believe this isn’t talked about more (start the dialogue NOW)

My goodness man. This guy’s cheeks must be at least 10 feet wide with the amount of wind he’s pushing out. Awesome listen - very emotional, with a beyond melodramatic-orchestral finale. It earned some self gratuity at that point, and let’s be real a 16 minute song better have it all.

Yeah it’s more Morrissey.

It’s only a 2 because Go It Alone elevates this album. Otherwise this has no heart at all

These guys were wetting that electronic whistle. Just hitting instruments never seen before. Yes, most of it is dated, I admit it, but it’s so fun. The fun factor has to be a metric. Fun/100

Super dramatic production. I swear I hear an 808 or two. ‘Hello’ is super dated, and the songs that aren’t hits are weak. When We Were Young, Love in the Dark, and All I Ask are great. Karaoke belters.

Not my style honestly. But it was a fun listen. It’s the same way lighting a Bunsen Burner is fun in science class, but not fun in a small urban apartment. Don’t do that!!

Slept on Supertramp for too long! Scratching a Steely Dan-esque itch with the instrumentation. Big fan of this - will continue to come back.

Dad had this album playing all the time while I was growing up. Got a Ratatouille-esque flashback when the first track started playing. I can’t rate this anything other than a 5

Yeah it’s got that one song, but it’s not an album that has the highlight in spite of That One Song

Not their best. Just some meandering synth pads behind female vocals. (I say “female” because “women’s vocals” sounds worse) Their best is known. It’s Mezzanine. It was always Mezzanine. Mezzanine is a perfect listen. Shoutout Massive Attack’s 1998 album ‘Mezzanine’

One of my all time favourites. Harrowing

This shit is so good. Man it’s so fucking good.

Very sure of its concept - that concept is being vapid guitar driven wine music. Aside from the nostalgia reasons, I don’t think I’d ever be like “oh man, could you chuck on a bit of David Gray? That just gets me going!”

Kind of Blue more good. This fine. This jazzy. This not as good. Shoutout Kind of Blue.
